Hang your heads in shame

8 posts in this topic

The bloke on the other site spruiking 'it's on a roll' has done a runner, how did he front trackwork each day over there in Otaki running a mantra like that? Mental illness has no shame and takes no prisoners, anyone who believes racing is in a healthy state here, is not in a healthy state.

50 years ago the Bay Of Plenty Cup was known as the Tauranga Cup. It was won by Elkayel ridden by Keith Mauriri. There were 20 starters! vs it is enough to make you weep!

dear old Keith - no doubt you have heard the story about others keeping him in the saddle during a race Gubes:)

vs yes indeed! Better known as a Jumps Jockey. Happy go lucky and amiable character. vs another reason to weep. The 2006 Bay of Plenty Cup was won by Anne Carina ridden by Craig Grylls. The stake was $35,000. Today's stake is $30,000. Welcome to the promised land!

Of course, if the stake was $50,000 it would have got the same field. So it isn't all about stakes, but I certainly know what you mean.
