Sensing that we could be at the start of one of the great Shield dynasties in the name of the Mighty Blues, to carry on the tradition of the great Auckland Rugby teams of the '80s who were well nigh unbeatable home or away.

First up on the chopping block the Ferdies, valiant campaigners and bound to give a good sight until the pressure goes on and the Mighty Blues power prevails.

Hi Peter,

Just in case - Heather has gone to Florida to see Habibi race this weekend so will need a sub for the next 2 Saturdays.

Thanks Pam. Yes, she messaged me and I have approached someone but if anyone is interested then they should put their hand up.

Re Habibi   :  Race and Field - but I have to say that the lack of info regarding this meeting is pretty bad ... the gulfstream website is a disaster ..  it makes NZ racing sites look pretty swish :)

This is the racing schedule for US :  http://www.americasbestracing.net/en/races/tv-radio-schedule/  -  It shows the Suwannee as being at 2.23pm East Coast - Race 6

thanks PJ ( take it easy on Herr Kapitan)

Hey Geoff, have the Ferdies managed to cobble a team together yet ?? ....hope so, it would be good if they can put some sort of Shield Challenge together...a completely one-sided Shield match would tend to mute the public's interest. :)
