Properispomenon 1 Report post Posted September 2, 2010 I managed to track him down in an orphanage. He is stoked.$5 gets 37 Cheeseburgers from McDonalds over there...he said to say thanks for your mercy, and the kids are also grateful.] I still think if I get any e-mails beginning 'Hello there, my name is Chris Taylor and I act for a number of orphans here in Somalia whose parents a) were all super rich from various nefarious dealings and were all on that ill-fated recent Flight 666 to Kinshasha...' I won't bother answering...

Cat 25 Report post Posted September 12, 2010 Another succesful week for some, with Richie,Jack Attack and our leader Ziggy correctly getting 6 from 7. Cat 25 Report post Posted September 19, 2010 Another 'fairly' tough week, with the Taranaki win over Canterbury catching most of us out, plus Southland over Waikato. G Unit,Rooboy and Memphis were our stars this week with 6 from 7. The top of the table sees Memphis snapping at the heels of our leader Ziggy09 with a slight gap back to the chasers. Cat 25 Report post Posted September 27, 2010 Cat...being a self confessed "league nut" I'm surprised to have been leading. Now I can just focus on "staying ahead of Moz" yeah interesting comp aye? I reckon I over-analyse picks myself, and probably all rugby union 'followers' arent doing too well with their picks:rolleyes: It doesnt help that I keep picking Harbour to win either:D Anyway, keep picking those winners...well for your sake anyway and not for Memphis. There are still a few chomping at yah heels too so dont get cocky:D 7 from 7 for me this week...looks real easy... Cat 25 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Some low scoring this week with 4 of us securing 5 from 7,helped by the Auckland/HB draw and BOP upset of Wellington. Cat 25 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Anyone else out getting highly peed that teams like Wellington are struggling to make the Top Seven simply becuase they have so many All Blacks that, for various reasons, aren't allowed to take the field? Plus Savea and Gear out with the 7s. Sorry mate,I sympathise but unless you can come up with a better solution then suck it up. The teams making the finals wont have any ABs available again.Pretty darn pathetic really.

moz1047 93 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Anyone else out getting highly peed that teams like Wellington are struggling to make the Top Seven simply because they have so many All Blacks that, for various reasons, aren't allowed to take the field? Just a shame Auckland haven't got a few ABs as well so that they miss out. Would have real good comp then with teams with a following. Looks like Naki & southland wil beheading Super 15 franchises next year. :y:

Cat 25 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Am sucking big time... Yeah sorry mate, didnt mean it to sound like that:D I guess if this stupid '4th Bledisloe' gets canned then that would keep the ABs in the comp a bit longer, but even then, its hard to have the ITM Cup with all the ABs involved ALL the time. And Harbour continue to pay Tony Woodcocks wages....
Properispomenon 1 Report post Posted October 4, 2010 Yeah sorry mate, didnt mean it to sound like that:D Ah no worries... I just find it bizarre that a team like Wellington, for instance, with All Blacks at every number in the backline bar the 10 spot now stands a very good chance of not making the so-called Top Seven... Exactly how that - and possibly even not having Auckland there too - will help New Zealand rugby is beyond me... I disagree re the Super 14 (well, Super 15) franchises, too. Come February, when Super 15 kicks off, the Wellington All Blacks who are sitting the ITM Cup out will be back in force for the Hurricanes ... and all the wonderful form that, say, the Hawkes Bay and Taranaki players have produced in a devalued competition won't be worth diddly squat! Cat 25 Report post Posted October 10, 2010 A solid week for most of us with fairly predictable results, which saw 5 score 6 from 7,with Butch James missing the perfect score by selecting North Harbour!(What were you thinking?? ) But all were outdone by Tasman Man who stole Vons picks then threw in Tasman, and scored himself the perfect 7! Overall, our leader has runaway.Memphis has opened up a 3 point gap over his nearest rival. tasman man 742 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 .....for the recognition. It must have been hard for you to type that I was the 'best' even for one week !!! I sure miss CTaylor's astuteness tho !!! Did I see where Harbour got smashed....first time in history where points conceded has bettered the number of spectators at a home game. And is that good player Colin Bourke from your neck of woods....a real bad loser , blamed the ref , big time on tele , I hope he gets his ar$e fined good and proper. A lot to smile about at weekend ,but it's time Rugby had a break , it's damn near Xmas. Cheezy smile , cheezy smile , cheezy smile.
