Good Morning, folks ! I hope you all enjoy a wonderful weekend.

Go the Black Caps !

A big day comp-wise, as we see who will join the Hurricanes and the Blues in the 4-Team Championship Round. You'd have to think the Barbarians who have come from nowhere (literally) and are performing magnificently and the well-tried Ferdies look the likeliest to round out the Top 4.

Go the Black Caps !

Yes you'd think the Hurricanes remain good things to make the Championship Round. They started like the 'Black Caviars' of the comp ...but as we now enter the final furlong are rapidly re-shaping themselves as the 'Rain Affair's of the comp ...that finishing line can't come too soon for them as challengers emerge from all directions. :D

Go the Black Caps !

Congrats to the Mighty Blues proven performers, those Likely Lads Gruffy and Moosey who are ranked 3rd & 6th respectively on the comp's  'Top 10' Dollars earned chart, and looking to at least retain those spots as likely challengers like Right First Time and Globederby12 just off the pace look to hone in today on making that 'Top 10' chart.

Go the Black Caps !

Good luck Geoff, Gruff, Rees & Moose ...we're looking good things for that Championship Round as rival teams in panic mode lurch from crisis to crisis today.

Go the Black Caps !

Here's what's winning for Howie today :-

R1        1 x 10   (9)

R2        1 x  6    (10)

R3        7 x  9    (8)

R4        1 x  4    (2)

R5        5 x  8    (7)

R6        4 x  8    (1)    BEST BET NZ

R7        4 x  8    (2)

R8        7 x  8    (10)  BEST BET AUS

R9        8 x  9    (1)

R10      5 x  10  (8)

Thanks, PJ.

Go the Black Caps !

Peter, Steve has a scratching in the last competition race.  If he posts a replacement please take his pick.  If he doesn't post then please throw in

#5 Pornichet

Just as an aside, how good is James McDonald's book of rides today?  Unbelievable.

Geoff has selected number '14' in Comp Race 10 ....when there are only 13 starters !

But I want to make clear Geoff is not feeling the pressure. :)

Unless Geoff posts to clarify what the '14' should have been, then he'll be running with his reserve, number 8 Our Voodoo Prince.

So sorry for my poor showing this campaign. Age is an awful thing. (Can't even get names for a couple of horses of ours to race soon. Some things are not no-brainers)

Given my "can't look" behaviour, palpitations, and fingers in the ears, don't know if I'll live to see the final score tomorrow! GO BLACK CAPS
