Who has won 4 Davis Cups? Who has won an Olympic Gold (singles)? Who has destroyed the other in Majors (all Majors)? Who has a 23 - 10 record against the other (sorry, but clay is part of tennis)? Who has dominated one surface like no other player? Who has broken nearly all of Federer's records while being 5 years younger? You mention the ATP finals (an exhibition) played on Federer's favorite surface and Nadal's worst - if it were fair and half the time it was played on clay then Nadal would be even with Fed. Think about that. There are so many other things too - Look at their primes - Nadal has a much better record in nearly every respect. Look at the competition during their prime years. It's a joke - Fed. playing against Phillippousis, Hewitt, Gonzalez, Safin, Roddick, etc. Nadal always playing against Fed., Murray, Novak. Sorry, but with an objective analysis, Nadal is much better. You're right about one thing - Fed. is a model of consistency and style but to be the best you have to win and a close analysis shows that Nadal is already better than Fed. and in 2 or 3 years everyone will probably agree if YOU get over your biases.
