There's a stereotype about greyhound trainers, we've seen it depicted on tv etc. The shifty, dodgy type and unfortunately this kinda stuff reinforces the stereotype and ruins it for the vast majority of participants who are not this way inclined. The trainer was *******/********, then why should 1 half of the / be able to proceed while the other takes the wrap, allowing them to continue as normal if u catch my drift. It was a partnership. ?? If what has been happening is true then the book needs thrown at them both, they don't care and just expect nothing to change, and nothing probably will unfortunately. We all want an industry that is transparent and honest regardless of someone's 'stature' in the industry surely ? IMO I have no idea what the whole thing about, but if you don't let punters know what it's about then you will get people rumouring. Make it public and let everyone move on. Like it or lump it, in this industry there are many different participants with different levels of involvement and rumors/gossip are a fact of life. If people didnt comment on things unless they knew all the facts it would be a pretty quiet world, we prob wouldnt have a 6oclock news bulletin if that was the case. Until we know some facts there will be speculation etc. Sooner some facts are known the better, and if wrong doings are proven the alleged perpatrator needs to be held accountable and made an example of high profile or not.
