IF it's not him then i will go back into hibernation. That's him Crusty ! He had actually stood in India of all places before being sold to New Zealand He left- the 1928 Railway Handicap winner Nancy Lee the 1930 Easter winner Pegaway the 1925 Great Northern Guineas winner King Lu (later a minor stallion and sire of Pirate King, a stakeswinner at Ellerslie in 1940. the Avondale Guineas winners Pompey & Tuahine and the talented Queen March who won the Wellesley Stks, ARC Welcome Stks, Great Northern Champagne Stks and the ARC Royal Stks and was later the granddam of Merry May and 4th dam of Judena (also NZ St. Leger), who each won the Great Northern Oaks. the Waikato Cup and Railway Handicap winner (that's some double!) Peter Jenkins 2,120 Report post Posted November 17, 2014 Geoff, he stood there in 2004 but only produced 31 foals, 24 of these raced for 18 winners but just one of these was a stakeswinner - Glentire (out of a Royal Academy mare) who won Listed races at Baden-Baden and Dresden.
