gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted October 19, 2014 I am in fan heaven! My two favorite teams in the English League are Southampton and Shrewsbury.Overnight Southampton beat Sunderland at home 8-0.I hope hapless Sunderland don't sack their manager Gus Poyet.Shrewsbury beat York 1-0.A weekend to remember! crustyngrizzly 1,700 Report post Posted October 19, 2014 I have always had a soft spot for Southampton since Mick Channon played for them all those years ago.
Uriah Heap 481 Report post Posted October 19, 2014 8-0?? What on earth is going on there? West Ham 3-1 over Burnley to move into the Top 4 is just a nice little result. We're flying high.
gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted October 20, 2014 crustyngrizzly Mick Channon is now a leading trainer in England. My favorite player was Matt le Tissier. If he had transferred to any of the glamour clubs he probably would have played more games for England. You don't see loyalty like that today! chelseacol 2,488 Report post Posted October 20, 2014 amazing that Southampton have survived the exodus of half their team in the off season - De Boer looks a good manager. Agree about Gus - one of my favourite players when he was with us (not so much when he went to the North London rabble :-) ) Met him at a Cup Final a few years back - a gentleman. gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted October 21, 2014 Never ceases to amaze me the number of managers who are sacked after one bizarre result!Hope Gus has many more bright days at the Stadium of Light!

Rambling_Kidd 160 Report post Posted October 22, 2014 City blew the European game this morning in Moscow. Love the Highlights package of the lower division teams, great to see most of the old teams still play in their familiar colours ... gubellini 3,995 Report post Posted October 26, 2014 Chelseacol I hope your team is not to hard on Shrewsbury Town on Wednesday morning in their away Cup Tie.This will be the biggest game in the history of Shrewsbury Town since their founding in 1886! chelseacol 2,488 Report post Posted October 26, 2014 I still love the FA Cup Gubellini. Ties like this are awesome for many reasons. I imagine it will be an interesting looking Chelsea side for that game. Yeah we should win etc etc - but how cool would a draw be and a big $ replay at the Bridge for the "other" Blues
