Richard Edmunds 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 I recommend watching or recording the first race at 1:30, the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes, as well as the King's Stand. The field for the Queen Anne features 8-time Group 1 winner Goldikova, last year's easy winner Paco Boy and Coolmore's Rip Van Winkle, both of whom have won 3 Group 1s. Not bad for Race 1! It should be one of the best races of the week.
Neil Macaskill 2 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 The tales about Choisir,Takeover Target and Scxenic Blast we relish but as well; Last Tycoon ran a fast 58.28 when Cash Asmissen booted him home . Willie Carson won it for Hamdan Al Maktoum and Dick Hern.beforee his big win in the USA. Godswalk,Bluebird and the blue blooded Habibti(Willie Carson for John Dunlop) were also notable success. Habibti of course has a tremendous breeding connection with New Zealand/ Lester Piggott has ridden the most winners of about 5 I think. Richard Edmunds 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 The Queen Anne was an incredible race. Goldikova hit the lead at about the 500, and I thought the jockey might have gone a little bit too soon. Paco Boy exploded out of the pack and looked like he would cruise past her, but Goldikova dug deep like only really top horses do. She won by about a head at the line. 9th Group 1 win for her.
