meomy 971 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 Who is responsible for putting the Stewards Reports up on the NZTR website? Is it the authors of the Stewards Report or a well paid IT person? Whoever has put them online tonight has stuffed up & put Marton Stewards report on both the Ruakaka, Whangarei race meeting results & also on the Marton results. So where is the Whangarei Stewards Report? Where is commonsense 101 or has the person responsible had a hard day at the office? barryb 2,064 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 Yes its absolutely unforgiveable, lets hang the person responsible at 10am Monday in Lambton Quay. Meomy none of them are backing up today at Rotorua where you absolutely need that info now, its not a life changing error that wont be corrected in 2 days. Like I said yesterday, just take your medication more often like it says on the bottle and focus more on positive happy thoughts. For example: Who Shot The Barman winning. AB victory over Springboks. National victory next Sat. Dot Com no longer featuring in the media. Winston not making 5% (yes I know he is a huge supporter of racing,, but we cant make political decisions on 1 tiny policy area, when he is a dictatorial fool for 6 weeks every 3 years. He is a professional opposition politician who given power conducts himself similar to Muldoon). You and me getting on at Te Rapa in 2 weeks and winning shitloads. Turny 1,224 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 Meomy, Get the wheels rolling head south on the Southern Motorway and go to Te Rapa with Barry. At Te Rapa you will see happy people, smiling faces, wonderful horses, lots of little fellas and gals in bright colours, excitement, Ok food, good beers and wines, hard luck stories, recalls of days gone by, making friends with the folk next door and enjoy yourself. It is called a "day at the races" - and the prospect of making a quid in the fine company of Barry Tom jess and meomy

I agree with Memony,in todays market of Internationalism mistakes like this shouldn't happen Another example of incompetence is conveying correct information. I was taken with a filly last year named Da Kensington Oval which is/was trainrd by O Sullivan/Scott Team but in the trail results it now says Baker/Forsman Team but it still has the stable colours of the O'Sullivan /Scott team, still don't know who is training the filly due to incompetence. elbow and meomy
meomy 971 Report post Posted September 16, 2014 Is there a set time frame that these Stewards Reports are put up online? We would reasonably expect them to be up within an hour of the last race for all to read, including international & local media who have deadlines and taking into account anyone who may have an interest in a horse etc racing that day. There's nothing like sharing a bevy or meal after the races and been able to access information about the days races and sharing knowledge of how one's horse ran or didn't run,. Add to the mix there are those who care how jockeys and horses are that may have had a fall & this is the likely source where those that work or are otherwise unable to watch the races or hear them on the radio on a Saturday are likely to seek that information. meomy 971 Report post Posted September 17, 2014 10pmish & no sign of the Stewards Report from Avondale races today on the NZTR website. Do staff at NZTR all go home at the dot of 5pm? Been a New Zealand race day we would reasonably expect them to be there until at least after the last race and a bit more. How hard is it & what effort is required to place this information online on the same day as the race meeting is held? If it means a staff member starts & finishes at a later time sobeit. Think you'll find that they do, that is start and finish at times that coincide with race meetings. How else would the results get posted and the videos uploaded? However the stewards reports, is the responsibility of the Stewards (RIU) to upload after the race meeting, and usually they are pretty good at being up not long after the last. Every now and then there are occasions where they might have computer issues, wifi issues etc that may delay this, heaven forbid, until the morning of the following day.. for a mid-week meeting.. at Avondale.. meomy 971 Report post Posted January 1, 2015 It's a new year & New Years day evening after a Premier race day at Ellerslie & there's no Stewards Report up. This is very poor, especially considering that a race or two had incidents involving enquiries & matters of significance to the health & safety of jockeys occur. Come on folks, please ensure that all Stewards Reports are consistently placed online for your customers to read within an hour of the last race. Thanks in advance. N1MUE 1,877 Report post Posted April 2, 2015 Did with OUR MYSTERE race with another nameless horse or without?? If I was going to call someone out for a typo I'd probably double check what I wrote myself. ps. pretty sure it would be "without" cover - they don't tend to report when a horse races with cover (and it drew the outside barrier). meomy 971 Report post Posted June 29, 2015 We are slightly confused over Matt Cameron's upcoming suspension. On the one hand it says he has been suspended for 3 days yet in the NZ Racing Desk media release it says he's clearly out for 4. Would we please be able to have clarification is he suspended for 3 or 4 days? He has been known to ride in the South Island so we would expect his riding there and those upcoming racing calendar dates to be taken into consideration. From Stewards report Club:Whangarei Racing Club Date: Saturday 27 June 2015 Weather: Fine Track: Dead(5) Rail: 3 Metres Stewards: J Oatham (Chairman), M Williamson, S Mulcay Typist: M Gemmell Suspensions: Race 3 M Cameron SILENCER Careless riding after start [Rule 638(1)(d)] suspended 5-10/7 inclusive, 3 days SILENCER (M Cameron) shifted inwards shortly after the start when not sufficiently clear of MALALA which was checked. M Cameron admitted a resultant breach of careless riding with his license to ride in races being suspended by the Judicial Committee from the conclusion of racing on Saturday 4 July 2015 up to and including racing on Friday 10 July 2015, 3 riding days. http://www.theinformant.co.nz/racing/HY38985/Three-day-suspension-for-Cameron Three-day suspension for Cameron Mon, 29 Jun 2015 NZ Racing Desk New Zealand’s premiership leading jockey Matthew Cameron has been suspended for three days for careless riding onboard Silencer at Ruakaka on Saturday. Cameron will be out of action from the close of racing Saturday July 4 through to Friday July 10, meaning he cannot ride at Te Aroha (July 5), Matamata (July 8), Stratford (July 9) and Timaru (July 10). Cameron is 13 wins clear of Danielle Johnson with 27 race days remaining in the 2014-15 season.
rdytdy 5,343 Report post Posted June 29, 2015 The three days are Matamata, Stratford and Timaru ie 8th, 9th, 10th of July. Te Aroha (5th July) does not count as there are only jumps and highweight races on that day. meomy
meomy 971 Report post Posted December 5, 2015 Is anyone else having a slight challenge trying to find the The Stewards Report from Sat 5 December 2015 for Trentham, Wellington Premier raceday online? We would reasonably have expected it to be available for all to read by now. Very poor for a race club on any day to not have it available online by now, let alone a club that markets itself as one of the best. Who is responsible for this slip up? What is there reasonable excuse? Perhaps they need a medical clearance like jockeys do to perform to standards...
barryb 2,064 Report post Posted December 5, 2015 Yes its absolutely disgraceful, all those horses that are backing up today at Waipuk it would be so bloody helpful to know what happened to them in the running from the stipes. meomy 971 Report post Posted May 12, 2016 Spot the incompetence, Is it "SINISTA" or "SINISTER "? It may be a minor error however it could have major implications in years to come when horses and details are incorrect. Note this is not the complete Stewards Report details belonging to Race 4 as we have edited it to show the relevant parts. MEETING DETAILS: Club:Waikato Racing Club Date:Saturday 7 May 2016 Weather:Fine Track:Dead(4) Rail:3 Metres Stewards: J Oatham (Chairman), A Coles, M Williamson, B Jones Typist:M Coles Suspensions: Race 4 M Gibbs-Manssen SINISTA Incompetent Riding [Rule 638 (1)(e)] Suspended 8/5-6/6 inclusive, 1 month Race 4 KEN & ROGER BROWNE MEMORIAL STEEPLECHASE After jumping the fence at the 600 metres, SINISTA (M Gibbs-Manssen) remained wide on the track and was not initially angled into the centre of the steeplechase course losing considerable ground before being directed by its rider back onto the correct course once he had realised his error. MARVON DOWNS (H McNeill) landed awkwardly after jumping the first fence in the centre. SINISTA ran very wide rounding the bend on the steeplechase course near the 1800 metres. SINISTA put in a poor jump at the fence near the 1400 metres bumping GOOSEBUMPS. SINISTA ran wide rounding the turn after jumping the fence near the 600 metres forcing STRAIGHT FURROW over extra ground. GOOSEBUMPS ran down the final fence hampering NO QUOTA. M Gibbs-Manssen admitted a breach of rule 638(1)(e) in that he had ridden his mount SINISTER in an incompetent manner. After hearing submissions the Judicial Committee suspended Mr Gibbs-Manssen’s licence to ride in races for a period of one month to take effect from the conclusion of racing today up to and including racing on Monday 6th June 2016.
