These lists always provide a good laugh. Pretty sure Marc Ellis was one of the most trusted, despite his weird antics - never to be seen on T.V again.

Who was No.1? Kim Dot Com?

Ok, so just realised it isn't 'our' LAO.

In first place is Willie Apiata followed by Lance O'Sullivan, who is a doctor and this year's NZer of the Year, then All Blacks captain Richie McCaw, Judy Bailey and John Kirwan in fifth. -

Doh, that's why I said "this name".

Anyone who can't read or is blind wouldn't know one Larney from the other.

The Racing Industry needs any publicity it can get so anyone who gets confused between the two is a plus for racing.

Small victory's are sweet as bro.

We would like to know who creates the original list of names & occupations that people get to choose from & how they decide who goes on it.

I bet there's not one horse breeder, trainer, jockey, etc name on it to choose from.

The closet to it would be journalists in the most trusted professions list.

You couldn't have a trainer or jockey on the list .Afterall these a the guys that before a race tell us to expect a big race and then after the race disappear into the jockey or trainers room without having to explain.Of course there are exceptions.

As far as having a horse breeder on the list.Well would you have any respect for someone who you pay a lot of money to for an animal only to find out it's useless. As always buyer beware and there are exceptions to this.

Very hard to find respect for anyone involved in an industry that is built around gambling,a bit like cricket.

For those that haven't clicked, read this post of crikeydicks carefully...

Using the same name belonging to another of the same in a completely different field is one way of luring newbies to this site & racing...

Great bit of marketing & promo mate!!
