alltheway!!! 640 Report post Posted September 11, 2014 I think so, if fast archer can finish as strong as he can, dream collector could be in for it, know danger could also cause an upset

WhoKnows 791 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Yes, really bad news, was such an excitement machine. He hasn't looked himself the last 2 starts though and combine that with racing on a track conducive to injuries they were taking a risk racing him there and unfortunately paid the price. alltheway!!! 640 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Has looked sore for a while. Sad to see it finaly caught up with him
mmmyb 277 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Do you really think that Dave and Jean would race the dog injured? You have got to be joking. I could name a couple in recent times that have looked sore, but you may not like that.
alltheway!!! 640 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 No. I did not mean anything like that, he said for himself in the semis of the cup that the dog was a bit sore, im not rubbishing him at all
johnnybooy 52 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Not the best training decision I have seen in racing, running dc at hatrick. Dog was never suited to that track. Connections and dog paid the price "What a waste"
alltheway!!! 640 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 What a waste of a comment to make, when you have done half of what fahey has done, then come on here and criticise him. I can understand why he took the dog there, It was the perfect opportunity to give him a look at the track as there is a 40k race there in 2 weeks mmmyb
mmmyb 277 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Agreed . And being the derby heats he was up against some handy dogs or would have been and it would have made him push himself to learn the tactics needed to win the spion rose

Bar Bar Black Sheep 45 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Agreed . And being the derby heats he was up against some handy dogs or would have been and it would have made him push himself to learn the tactics needed to win the spion roseso sad to see such a beautiful dog as he is break down, it can happen on any track but dogs with his style are not suited to Hatrick as when a front running dog runs 29s out in front they don't get caught at Hatrick, I hope he gets well and is offered at Stud would be interesting to see what he would throw cheers
henery 35 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Totally agree and it just shows by that what the cd trainers have to put up with in the way the track is done watching it on tv it just get wetter and wetter no wonder the fast dogs get injured as they just slip and slide wanganui claims yet another top dog iteruka and howrude
WhoKnows 791 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Well the President just got re-elected didn't he so nothing will ever change, the track is a disgrace and always will be, why you would risk a really good dog there is beyond me, sad but true, NZhas just lost its flagship dog and its a real shame. henery 35 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Yes he did but I heard it was a joke as the voting was done by postal and he got all his family to vote so was never going to not be president again
josh77 88 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Ive noticed in the past that the track looks wet, and looked up the weather and track conditions to find its been fine. track rated as good,Why do they need to put so much water on the track!! alltheway!!! 640 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 By far the worst track in the country, it is so inconsistant and the injury count there is ridiculous howrude and iteruka

iteruka 68 Report post Posted November 21, 2014 Wanganui track is a disgrace. Good dogs or not I refuse to race mine there and won't until it is fixed but according to them the track is fine. Sad for the connections of Dream Collector but could have been avoided if the club had for once listened to it's members
GONSTA 1,148 Report post Posted April 23, 2015 Missed the interview on trackside with Dave Fahey tonight, my mate told me he said Dream Collector ran home in 11.04 over a sprint recently? That's unbelievable, and very exciting to hear he may not be finished on the race track yet! Would love to see him back to his best as he is a freakish talent! jasonmccook1 and Bar Bar Black Sheep
