STRAIGHT STRIKE 37 Report post Posted May 16, 2014 Yes we see his ugly dial and this foul mouth Racist on TV again, I speak of Hone Harawira. Yesterday he was on One mouthing off (again) about the Budget ! " There is not one single thing in the Budget for Maori " , was he hoping that Maori only would receive anything more than any other NEW ZEALANDER....how racist would that be. Maybe he was somehow thinking that there could be 2 Budgets,,,one for Maori and one for New Zealanders. How this "Joker" manages to have the support of intelligent constituents, I have no idea. Opo 182 Report post Posted May 16, 2014 Budget 2014: $42M invested in Maori initiatives New funding for Whanau Ora of $15 million is among a number of new money in this year's Budget targeting Maori. The Government has also announced a contestable $10m fund over four years to focus on Maori sporting and cultural activities and to support sports and cultural bodies. The Government is investing $8m over four years for a Maori Innovation Fund, $6m for New Zealand Maori Tourism and $1m – half new spending, the other reprioritised – for a joint programme which strengthens Maori and Chinese cultural and economic relationships. An extra $12m has been allocated to iwi radio stations over four years and will support the operational costs of 21 stations currently funded by Te Mangai Paho and to look into expanding the network. The Budget also provides $1.5m over four years to support Te Mangai paho and to archive historic Maori programming. http://www.3news.co.nz/Budget-invests-42M-in-Maori-initiatives/tabid/1607/articleID/344346/Default.aspx
