eljay 1,711 Report post Posted March 19, 2014 The Super whatever the favourite number is this year, has only just started even though it's mid summer and already shots being fired at the officials. I do remember (although a few years ago) it was decided that neutral referees would be appointed to (at that time) internationals and later where teams between nations (not tests) were involved. So how the bloody hell do we have the present situation where refs are not from neutral countries?? Surely a step backward, to the days of "gold watches"

Uriah Heap 481 Report post Posted May 5, 2014 Is it my one eyed bias, or did a frustrated Steve Walsh just decide that the Hurricanes were not going to win HIS game last Saturday night v The Warratahs. One penalty for "mucking around", a Hurricanes "forward pass" that even the Aussie commentators disagreed with and then Perinara penalised for back chat. How often does a player get penalised for "back chat" these days? Fair go! THE TORCH

Overcheck 190 Report post Posted May 7, 2014 I wonder if referees who deliberately engineer the result of a game are going to be included in the new laws regarding match fixing?
THE TORCH 657 Report post Posted June 7, 2014 A question for all of those Nigel Owens fans on here: What do you make of him now??!!??!! Tragic display.

THE TORCH 657 Report post Posted June 7, 2014 Anyone who doesn't try and own a game. Owens constant chatter to players is pathetic and calling those two knock ons against England is a fine example of how refs today seem hell-bent on calling things that they THINK happen but actually don't. Its where they think they are more intelligent than anyone else yet when they review it they're just trying too hard. Another infuriating thing is how many forward passes we see in union and league today. Take the try awarded to Australia tonight. Ball flicked on, goes a metre forward and is allowed. If they were basing it on "hands going backwards" how can a flick on achieve that??!!
Gruff 2,778 Report post Posted June 7, 2014 You can talk about bad refs decisions till the cows come home torchey, nothing changes....it only takes one bad call to change a result in most clashes, look at the league tonight, bird one on one strip on attack in opposition 20 with 3 min to go in half, very possible 14/12 lead penalty Penrith ,12/8 halftime, playing catch up footy force a pass intercept game over....what can be done? Even the video ref gets it wrong watching 3views in slo mo at times....was an error ridden match and the poms almost caused the boil over THE TORCH
Rambling_Kidd 160 Report post Posted June 7, 2014 Major reason I have not bet on the NRL and the rugby for nearly 4 years, appalling decisions which would just annoy me, normally, but when you have a couple of hundred on, THEY RIP ya. and yeah, referees do need to be included in any scamming.
