Peter Jenkins 2,120 Report post Posted October 9, 2013 THE FINALS The Finals will consist of two separate competitions - The Champions League for the top 5 qualifiers from the Round Robin, and the Presidents League for the 5 remaining sides. The Finals will be run over 5 rounds of league play and a Grand Final in each competition for the top 2 teams on points after the 5 rounds. Each team will play two head-to-head matches and 3 triple-head matches over the 5 rounds. The rules will be the same as previously except for the scoring in the triple-headed matches. Important point - in triple-header matches where two teams tie on points i.e. 2-2-1 result, the winning side will be deemed to be the one with the higher aggregate on the day. In the triple-header matches, the winning side will earn 3 points for a win while the team which is runner-up will earn 1 point. If any losing team records a higher aggregate than the winning side they will earn a bonus point. A 3-1-1 winning margin is worth an additional bonus point while a 4-1-0 winning margin is worth two bonus points. A 5-0-0 winning margin is worth 3 bonus points. The most a team can earn in a triple header is 7 points which can be turned into 14 points with a Joker Play. Each team is allowed one Joker play over the 5 rounds.
