HB Racing 59 Report post Posted September 25, 2013 Dear all, Ahead of the final leg of the Rush Munro’s Spring Racing Carnival HB Racing will again update stakeholders on weather and track conditions. I know some of you might be wishing for wet tracks, however I’d like to think we have had our fair share this spring and we would love to host the public on what is our biggest day with fine weather. The feature races for the day include the Group 1 Turks Spring Classic, Group II DHL Hawke’s Bay Guineas, Group III Tumu ITM Spring Sprint and a new addition the “Auckland Cup Week March 2014 All Aged Salverâ€â€“ which is a stayers event over 2500m. The Auckland Racing Club and Hawke’s Bay Racing have incentivised runners in this race with the winner receiving a 50% reduction in their nomination and acceptance fees should the winner line up in the Barfoot and Thompson Auckland Cup in March. This hopefully will provide another chance for our staying types to excel. Current weather conditions Rainfall last 48 hours – 49mls Rainfall since 21/9 racemeeting – 49mls Current track conditions Slow 8 Rail To be moved tomorrow to 2.5m from the true position. Weather forecast (source www.accuweather.com) Thursday – 19 degree high, cloudy and light winds Friday – 22 degree high, sunshine Saturday – 20 degree high, sunshine Sunday – 19 degree high, cloudy Monday – 18 degree high, mostly cloudy. HB Racing 59 Report post Posted September 26, 2013 Sorry - for some reason the formatting merged into one long paragraph. We are moving the rail Friday 27th to 2.5m from the true position. Unfortunately the preferred ground in the true has not repaired as we had hoped from the Makfi Challenge Stakes raceday were we raced on a heavy 11 (the heaviest for that raceday on record.) The ground at the 2.5m circumference is "beautiful" - according to Richard Fenwick. Cheers Jason
