United Future has officially been re-registered as a party and its leader now wants online party memberships to be a legitimate way of measuring party registration.

The Electoral Commission says it will restore Peter Dunne's party to the register of political parties from August 15.

Mr Dunne says he is pleased with the decision and will now ask Speaker of the House David Carter to restore the party's restoration as a recognised Parliamentary party.

Campbell Live has devoted much of this week to the GCSB bill. We're on a nationwide road trip, finding out whether you support or oppose the bill or even if you feel informed.

We've asked Prime Minister John Key to appear on a number of occasions to discuss the bill. He's always declined, until tonight.

Campbell Live's GCSB road trip continues tonight.

They're travelling the country to raise awareness about the GCSB bill and to see what Kiwis think.

But, as awareness is raised, is public opinion changing?

Tristram Clayton and Lachlan Forsyth are heading out of Auckland.

CAMPBELL~Live: ThurAUG~15th_13 ..The beginners' guide to the 'God Terminal'

Last night Prime Minister John Key declined to confirm or deny whether the GCSB uses a surveillance programme called 'Xkeyscore'.

..But if Xkeyscore is used by the international family the GCSB is very much a part of, what is it?

Tristram Clayton has the beginners' guide to a spy programme being called the 'God Terminal'.

T.V.3.News: FriAUG~16th_13

Prime Minister John Key has hit back at an allegation he misled the public during a fiery interview about the GCSB on Campbell Live.

..Mr Key said the spy agency would not be able to look at New Zealanders' emails when helping out with cyber security.

post-620-0-80970700-1376641029.jpg

..But it's now been revealed there's nothing expressly written in the proposed law to stop that.

Most people who vote for National cite the parties 'economic credentials'., after all, John Key worked for Merryl Lynch...

..When his policies are benefiting the United States more than New Zealand, you have to wonder if he still is!?

Leaked T.P.P.A. Draft: Global Corporate Dictatorship

While everyone's been hung up on the GCSB Bill.. seems everyone's forgotten about the TPPA Trans Pacific "Partnership" Agreement.. which is nothing short of Global Corporate Governance and will null&void any legislation we make about just about anything, with NZ liable for lawsuits if say, a company wanted to use "surveillance" powers in obtaining marketing info or to find "Copyright Infringers", to be trialed in international tribunals by the World Bank & UN with no right of appeal.. Something to think about.

[p.s., i've been 'bangin' on' about this..for nearly thirty years., Radio~PACIFIC back in the Eighties..for a Decade i rang that station and it wasn't toll free in those days!,

more recently Here i've repeatedly warned of this intersection arriving]

NATIONAL BUSINESS REVIEW: SunAUG~18th_13

[since the the first draft of the legislation, we have known the TICS Bill - the companion legislation to the GCSB Bill - makes it mandatory for telecommunications network operators (e.g. Telecom, Vodafone, 2degrees) to make their networks interceptable. The Bill leaves it to the ICT Minister's discretion whether this provision is extended to cover service providers - defined as companies that provide a telecommunications service, but that do not operate a network. Examples of service providers include the likes of Microsoft with its Skype service, Google with Talk and Hangouts and Apple's FaceTime and iMessage. Almost any online service is on the table - Editor]

"...well the Campbell~Live poll has been counted...and what an embarrassingly small number even bothered to vote., it's a modern disgrace that about ONE and one half of a percent..of the country's total population, bothered.

..predictabley, nine out of ten people were against the bill.

Key and his fraternity..will be celebrating at being able to call that one and one half of a perCent, merely the riff raff of N.Z., that'll Always find something to protest about., Aided by the internet and smartphone networks enabling them to Do so more easily than Ever etc.

..i noticed a sizeable group of South islanders, that were so selfish and insular..they actually supported the bill!, all slavenley a part of the 'i'm alRight jack' club that N.Z.'s famous for having many numbers of., especially in the South!

...what a decrepid sad disgrace these last 2-3 weeks've been as a window into where the people 'are@'., What bullshit will you all tell your Grandchildren..as Their world becomes a haunting placement for them...Eigh! "

Tensions are high in New Zealand over a new bill that would allow the country’s GCSB agency to conduct warrantless NSA-style spying on citizens. Prime Minister John Key, who was grilled on the bill at a presser, cut the meeting short and left early.

The country’s top official on Monday was showered with questions on the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) amendment bill, answering some of them, and effortlessly evading others. However, after less than 14 minutes of the presser, Key appeared to have lost patience with the journalists and walked off, leaving a question on privacy completely unanswered.

I guess at the end of the day they are just legitimising what they already do, have done and will continue to do, regardless of whether a Bill is passed or not.

I just can't believe how patronising, arrogant, conceited, belittling, petty, sarcastic, bullying and irreverent John Key continues to be. He's a prick.

N.Z.Herald: Bryan Gould

There are many reasons for concern about the GCSB Bill that has just passed into law, but one we might not have expected is the extent to which the Prime Minister seems unaware of its true implications.
