Todamax101 533 Report post Posted September 28, 2014 So a quick google search brings me here: assume this is the episode of Viewpoint you were referring to: http://www.skynews.com.au/video/program_viewpoint/2014/09/28/editorial--september-28.html Don't you just love this unbiased coverage? "Lunar left", "Conspiracy Theories", "It really is silly stuff". Plays a ten second clip with no context. Yes, there is a terror threat and yes something must be done about it but not by repeating mistakes of the past. Part of the reason ISIS exists is because of these large-scale bombings that kill innocent civilians and give people justification to jump to such extreme measures. Many of these bombings will take place in parts of Syria that currently have a large civilian population. All you're doing is creating the world's most sadistic version of whack-a-mole. Much of these new anti-terror bills contain very vague language. For example, there is no solid definition for 'network', so technically ASIO could spy on the entire internet with a single warrant. It's just begging for things to be opened up to corruption.

DC9 203 Report post Posted September 30, 2014 Its all bullshit, do you really think a bunch of ignorant stone age camel fuckers are a serious threat to western civilisation ? They could all be wiped off the face of the earth in a month if the USA decided too. Is that why it took them nearly a decade to pull out of Iraq, leaving it in a bigger mess than when they arrived? Have you just landed in a Tardis from the 1940s?
Rambling_Kidd 160 Report post Posted October 1, 2014 Negative, they stayed in Vietnam and Iraq, because the Politicians and armament suppliers wanted them to. The leaders of the armed forces didn't want a prolonged ground war in either situation.
