Uriah Heap 481 Report post Posted July 15, 2013 That Blues player getting the Red Card on Saturday was pathetic. What on earth has the game come too?? A penalty at best and even that would have been harsh. The game we are watching on TV has increasingly got less in common with the game played down at the local park on Saturdays. Clobber 3 Report post Posted July 15, 2013 I say bring back the good old rucking game then you would not see players lying around off side - if they did they would be dealt to (rucked out of the way) and would think twice about doing it again . The game has become"soft" - they even want to play in stadiums with a roof over them - its supposed to be a winter sport or it was in my day. Memphis2 1,078 Report post Posted July 15, 2013 The whole world has gone soft.We are lucky we lived in the day when men were men and sheep were real worried. People have to toughen up before soft is the norm. Portfolio

Portfolio 728 Report post Posted July 28, 2013 That Crusaders / Chiefs game would have to be one of the best all year. Well done to the Chiefs..... Hurt a little bit as I am from CHCH... But they deserved the win.
Uriah Heap 481 Report post Posted July 29, 2013 There was nothing soft about that game on Saturday. It was a fair old ding dong in the finest traditions of the game. The Carter v Cruden battles alone are worth the price of admission when these two teams play each other. These games often turn on one great effort or one mistake. This time the mistake was George Whitelock failing to nail Masanga as he dashed through for his try. He's usually solid George, but on this occasion he came up short.
