Hawke 32 Report post Posted April 24, 2013 After the running of race 1 and consultation with jockey's the track was downgraded to a Slow 8. Apparently against all statistical odds the penetrometer tests in the morning were found to have occurred in the sand slits. Trump 2,741 Report post Posted April 25, 2013 Good race track but no good standing in a shed, cold pie in hand watching the races.
Gordy55 177 Report post Posted April 26, 2013 I went along for the first 4 races and parked around the front by the 2200 metre start. A heap of other people parked there as well, and when I went back to the car to go home I could see I was well and truly blocked in. Luckily some Island guy was sitting in his car in the only gap to get out and he moved. Not what you would call a big crowd, but certainly the biggest I have seen at Avondale other than a cup day for a long time.
