Right first time 1,923 Report post Posted April 3, 2013 CRUSADERS Thanks for the draw, PJ ...those races pretty much match up with the winners that I'd already identified for this Saturday, so I'm exuding confidence ! I threw everyone's form and pedigree into the 'results-o-meter', and it spat back this early prediction for the big result :- CRUSADERS : 4 hurricanes : 1 Can the 'Crusader' heading for possible defeat please urgently undertake extra study to avoid that becoming a reality, and to instead set us back on the path to a planned 5-0 "white-wash". Surprised to see a couple of Hurricanes on the list of Top 6 Aggregates, those progressive types Globederby ($2686) & Reilly M ($2421), ...I guess my $1720 has me on the cusp of that esteemed list, maybe 11th or 12th or thereabouts and threatening danger as the home-turn approaches. Formguide out a few minutes ago reads as :- Von Cettes .... Spirited form revival after looking a spent force. Take on trust. Right First Time .... Has been set for this. Is looming large over this major match-up. BWJ .... Has a proven record of knockout blows. Chances can't be completely disregarded, but place looks best. Tasman Man ... Has emerged like a colossus the past 2 weeks, as the stakes get higher. This looks right within his range. Reilly M ... Looked like he'd peaked on his run a fortnight back, but has picked himself up off the canvas. Should be running on when it's all over. Dogzstar1 ... Once a Hurricane, with all the mediocrity that that entailed, but has come on in leaps-and-bounds since upgrading to Crusaders status. Top win prospect. Globederby ... Has surprised everyone with some top results. Championship Final looks too rich though at this stage, silver medal looks best. Dizzy .. First-class results right throughout campaign. Has winner stamped all over him in this Grand Final. ziggy09 ... Has been in a purple patch-of-form, and will be the "go to" man for the 'Canes when they start struggling in this Grand Final as they inevitably will, probably as early as race 3 ! Richie ... A proven campaigner at the highest level. One of the bets of the day. Roll on Saturday. The CRUSADERS are ready ! Von Cettes 685 Report post Posted April 3, 2013 HURRICANES 4 CRUSADERS 1 Match Ups Von Cettes v Right FIRST Time VC-Has won last 5 in a row, but that was in restricted company, and unlikely to measure up here in WFA Company, could possibly be lapped RFT-Has been set for this, and badly blocked last couple when under double wraps, with any luck in the running should gap his opponent, will be long odds on, clearly Bet of the Day BWJ V Tasman MAN BWJ- Last race specialist, is in a fresh state and has been held back to the field last couple, most noteably against the O-- Man, threw that match out of respect, an extremely humble competitor trained to the minute but will need to be up against a formidable opponent, this is an Xcellent match up and with only a few $$$ seperating the Two the result will not be known until after the last. TM-Has lost that early dash he once possesed, and has been caught wide in recent starts, most recently in the Cox Plate where he was out 10 wide making a run at the 1000mtrs, but with a soft run in the running will prove very hard, judge has called for a photo finish in this match up REILLY MAGICIAN V DOGZSTAR1 RM-Young gun of the Hurricanes outfit, has come through the accademy with flying colours is not without a chance of finishing 1-2 with Globe on top of the aggregates, will put the once was a Canezstar away in no uncertain terms, this will possibly be the second biggest winning margin behind RFT DS1-Once a member of the powerful Canes outfit, was let go a few seasons back, breaking team protocol, a highly regarded sprinter running in the countrys premium staying event, will be found wanting turning for home this clearly evident from last couple, unfortunately for DS1 his race has already been run. GLOBEDERBY V DIZZY GLOBE-Clearly been the Canes shining light, will rightly so blow (in hurricane style) his opponent away, and finish at #1 on the aggregate list, this looks on paper as a close contest, but rest assured, one will be BEAMING (Globe) with confidence while the other will just be spinning around, not knowing which way his opponent has gone. DZY- Has met his MATTch and unlikely to measure up in this company at set weights, although has been specked at odds, and highly regarded by stablemates, has been up for a while and may well have peaked. ZIGGY 09 V RICHIE Z09-Has been set for this race since last year, and has been backed of the map, the form runner of the field, so much so, the Crusaders camp has been contemplating scratching Richie, has had the boys in HIGH spirits all week, with everyone knowing the teams winning song off by heart. Rich- Poor Rich has drawn the short straw, a dour stayer, but is weighted out of this by the handicapper (PJ) won't give up but likely to be under the whip turning for home. Final Result Hurricanes 4 Crusaders 1 Right first time, Peter Jenkins and GONSTA
ziggy09 384 Report post Posted April 3, 2013 Nice 1 skipper I think this could be tighter than a 4-1 although we must remember RST did predict this scoreline in our last encounter.....ha! I'll go 3-2 with either Tassie or Richie taking 1. Still have a concern if Rob forgets and sub picks are put on for him.....could be real tight then. A wins a win though....and straight after this we will follow up with another against the Waratahs! Right first time 1,923 Report post Posted April 5, 2013 CRUSADERS Not good signs for the Hurricanes ....Von hallucinating as per 3.41 pm posting. Is there a Vice-Captain that can step in for the 'Canes should Von be further overwhelmed by the enormity of the task in front of him ?? Just looked at their draft ....looked the list up-and-down ....nup..can't see any replacement leadership potential there....may be best for them to go rudderless.
