kmhood 1 Report post Posted September 4, 2012 Indy King had a good winner on Saturday in the USA , the 3 year old filly Queen Lilly Kay won impressively at her first attempt on turf. She has had 6 starts now for two wins and 4 second placings.. On this performance she looks like she may develop into a stakes class horse, she hails from a quality turf family. Her dam Lilly Cozzene is a three parts sister to American turf horse Star of Cozzene a winner of 4 Group One races before retiringto stud in Japan. Queen Lilly Kay is a representative of Indy Kings second last crop in the USA which numbered just 19 foals of which 6 have started and four have won to date. This filly is bred 4x4 to Blushing Groom, it's worth noting that Indy King's most successful daughter Mindy Queen (10 wins incl Assinaboia Oaks in Canada and the Prairie Rose Stakes in the USA is also bred 4x4 to Blushing Groom ). Pegs Pride 376 Report post Posted December 5, 2012 So wish my partners had taken my advice and sent our mare Replicate to him. Would be so interested in one from the sales. But how would they have got in??
Tapu 48 Report post Posted December 6, 2012 Despite of his outstanding damline, most probably in the Festival I would say. My yearling filly is a standout among my 3 fillies, even tho the others are very nice types too. Won't be putting her thru a sale unfortunatley, most probably have to lease her as have done for most of my filles. Shame
