Interestingly enough, DARIA FUN is the 3rd dam of one of the FORTUNA Syndicated horses, the 4yo gelding. JETSET MAN (Golan X Jetset Doll). He is a big, strong, staying type who has tasted success for us here in NZ but is now on his way to Singapore to race for us with the 2013 Singapore Derby a major target for him. DARIAS FUN by the way had five of her foals go to the races, all winners, including the NZ Cup and Mitchelson Cup winner, WALTERMITTY (by Grosvenor) and the very handy BAKUP (by Kiliminjaro). Incidentally, the 3.15.59 she ran in the 1988 Wellington Cup set an Australasian record for the distance, which may well still stand today. Someone else may know the answer to that. Idolmite 2,456 Report post Posted August 29, 2012 Neat horse that Daria's Fun. Not many Group 1 winners have hailed from a small farm in the Bombay Hills I know Sue Ellis is still working with horses in Oz these days, including relatives to the great mare, but does anybody know the whereabouts of Lionel? TBHunter 100 Report post Posted September 1, 2012 Quote from website. from Google Image search of Daria's fun Ms Ellis still has hopes of again putting a horse in the starting gates on the first Tuesday in November. She inherited Daria’s Fun’s daughter Daria's Debut and has bred her progeny ever since, including great-grandson Kate Loves Jack and great-grandaughter Belle's Gold. “They are both winners, but neither of them has gone anywhere near what Daria’s Fun showed,†
