Memphis 1 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 You didn't make the trip down the coast then Tasie? Do they still have bits of drift wood for the running rail there?

tasman man 742 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 You didn't make the trip down the coast then Tasie? Do they still have bits of drift wood for the running rail there? .....around the world but never to any on the Coast , and I don't own gumboots. Of course we have trots on here yesterday and Sunday , so important to support them. I see the rail at Kumara looks very new. But the tracks down there are quite tight and I remember last year a horse crossing the line shot hard right into the carpark which was a near disaster. So much happening around here at moment......had a few days in Otago during week , came home to see a brilliant young guitarist from near Kempsey , NSW....your backyard....Joe Robinson....check him out on youtube , hes a huge talent. Another thing about Kumara.....at trots yesterday several people said the races could be off , being influenced by the SNOW they experienced on way up at Raes Junction. But the weather came right. Of course here in sunny Tasman its great weather as usual. We won the gold [again] in 2009 for the most sunshine. There are two types of people in NZ....those who live in Tasman and those who wish they lived in Tasman. :D Happy New Year , Memphis !!
