Zither 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2012 I have a smallish His Royal Highness mare (dam by Pentire, out of a Sir Tristram mare). She's down south and I'm thinking of sending her to a local stallion - any thoughts? She's not commercial but I'm probably going to perservere for purely emotional reasons. grassroots 1 Report post Posted July 9, 2012 Gallant Guru is the way to go. His off spring are cracking running types and you would be sure to have a horse that loves to run and more go over ground in time. There will be some lovely dups in the cross such as La Troienne, Le Filou, Blue Larkspur, Selene to name only four. Simple answer in my books. Great people to deal with also. kmhood 1 Report post Posted July 9, 2012 Ask the breeding buffs whom among any of those mentioned she would suit. Add King of Roses who is also a proven stallion. One of those will suit your mare. Most impotantly look at type. Good luck
lowell 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2012 By the best stallion in the world out of arguably the best mare in the world. No race record, probably the only reason he is in New Zealand.
