Umbrage 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2009 Rescue package needed to keep Manawatu club afloat and will be interesting to see how powers-that-be react to the crisis.Look for some heads to roll on this one if the rumours circulating around are anything to go by.More grist for the scandal mill. Yep Yep 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2009 Rescue package needed to keep Manawatu club afloat and will be interesting to see how powers-that-be react to the crisis.Look for some heads to roll on this one if the rumours circulating around are anything to go by.More grist for the scandal mill. Let it fall over then they wont have to pay for the track. Start a new club with same name no debt, problem solved free track good stuff. Umbrage 0 Report post Posted October 11, 2009 Surely Manawatu committee will be making a statement to club members asap detailing exactly what is happening there.Understand some details will need to be kept under wraps but licence holders need to know the venue will remain open as it is clearly the No.1 track in the CD. aquaman 1,352 Report post Posted October 11, 2009 Its downright insane whats happening at Manawatu. Its without dought the best track in the Nth Island. License holders need to realise they have to support this venue, get in behind it, and send a clear message to the useless lot in Wellington that the treatment being dished out to them will not be tolerated. They need lights. they need dates other than Mondays. A return to Friday nights is whats called for. Take the Friday licences from Wanganui, and give them back to Palmy. Wanganui can have Mondays. Poor old Nancy must be turning in her grave watching certain individuals in Wellington that are trying to bring this Club down. Talk about dogs turning on themselves. Umbrage 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2009 Can Manawatu at least advise if the agm has been rescheduled after it was called off last time for whatever reasons.A brand new committee, with new leadership, needs to be formed so they can start the steps to get them back to where they should be, CD's prime racing venue. Grahame Noblet 2 Report post Posted October 13, 2009 Why all the secrecy? What happened at the AGM? Was there an AGM? If not,why not? Again I ask,why the secrecy?A lot of people moan about the lack of communication from the Board, the same applies with the Clubs.
