Tbred62 2 Report post Posted December 31, 2009 M Purdon won with Russley Rascal in the last too Guerin said it equalled 7 wins in 1993 for Roy & Barry. Roy at 83 turns up every morning at 6am still at Tony Herlihys barn - spent two days in hospital prior to Xmas but is right as rain again - what a legend... 4bettor-orworse 21 Report post Posted January 1, 2010 Not to mention (well I will) the fact the feat was achieved on arguably the most competitive day of harness racing in the year. I haven't looked this up but just off the top of my head I believe that when the Roy and Barry partnership achieved their string of wins back in the 1990s, it was at a fairly ordinary winter meeting with some small fields and by comparison weaker opposition.
