tasman man 742 Report post Posted August 16, 2012 ....at Olympics I see !!! A silver medal Ok seeing it was something outside his schedule. I'm sure he did it for Sui.....a medal for his country. Hard to see Tennis as an Olympic sport , yet countries keen to make the 'stars' flag bearers etc , and I know many Athletes were charmed and excited by RF 's attendance in Beijing. No doubt RF impressed again in London. BUT of greater importance is the news that RNadal is out of US Open. Since making #1 , he certainly has not been able to stay up there. Maybe he is just a better chaser. Fitness and resilience seems to have consolidated RF as the BE !!!! Alert to zelda.....RN out of US Open !!! The first player in the Open era to win 5 Cincinnati titles!! He has once again equalled Rafael Nadal's record of 21 Masters titles after spanking Novak Djokovic 6-0 7-6!! Incredible!!! Another US Open around the corner??? With the "best ever" anything's possible!
pogo 0 Report post Posted August 20, 2012 .....for the "pea heart". No broken toenails, split hairs or sore knees. Just another Masters title !!! Could he be the BE ?? funniest post ever... after TSNB got his pants pulled down at wimbledon i noticed the absence of the asian inflatables other half, then i wondered whether he was trapped inside a cinema watching a Batman movie, couldn't get phone reception and didn't realise a scottish mummy's boy had flogged his hero.....BUT a pox on you TM you have enticed him out of his hole. funny how these 3 set masters events were rubbish when a certain spaniard was winning them..... as zelda says " when the great roger frederer comes out to play it's always fun "

One with Lauren the Aussie flagbearer at Olympics....great to see Basketball so big time in Australia. My guess it could be your #1 sport !!!!!! One "family" one on Waterhouse clan. One with a Peter Andrews.....a committed horse-breeder ,farmer and water buff. And just read the Noel Harris book..he had some interesting observations re Aussies...he rode a couple of your favs, Poetic Prince and Rough Habit. Who ya picking for NRL final now ??? Chris Thomson 0 Report post Posted September 10, 2012 finally gets his chance to bag his elusive maiden Slam. I reckon he can finally get over the line here. ] to witness Murray finally breakthrough. Quite appropriate really with the world's top 4 sharing a Grand Slam each between the 4 of them.

Chris Thomson 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2012 .....how the current World Rankings stack up ??? Murray must be edging up the list and whoever holds the top after so much amazing Tennis over the last 12months , must be 'special' !!!! Rafael Nadal on the "slippery pole" slides down to number 4!!! While Olympic Gold medalist and US Open champion Andy Murray rises to number 3. Federer had the strongest finish of any player last year winning 3 or 4 tournaments after the US Open and therefore will have the most pressure on him to defend his ranking points to remain year end number 1. Murray is in the perfect position now to swoop past Djokovic and Federer to finish year end number 1. A very interesting few weeks comin up on the ATP tour.
