Hunterville 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2009 Got another G1 today with Vosne Romanee, don't know much about the stallion but Jeff Lynds seems to do well with the few I've seen racing. Anyone have progeny or know anything about him?
Lloyd Vivian 742 Report post Posted December 27, 2009 Jeff stood the horse originally. He always appealed to me on type and sire, but his stock probably don't go quick enough early enough to be a commercial prospect. It's pretty hard to 'make' a CD horse at stud unless they are truly outstanding. I wish Jeff every success - he's been in the game a long time and had his share of average ones.. grossly misinformed 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2009 He has an amazing pedigree, remember comparing him and Howbaddouwantit their first year being similar bloodlines and thought that EZ had more going for him on paper but dont know too much about his stock, have only seen the odd one or two on the track like VR, Elcees Gold and Electronic Socks, they seem quite flashy, what is his strike rate? Hunterville 0 Report post Posted December 28, 2009 Thanks for the info guys. Vosne Romanee's performances should get him a few more mares, certainly can see where he gets his looks from... http://www.nzthoroughbred.co.nz/_files2/676534_08%20ped%20pages23-127%2031.pdf

kmhood 1 Report post Posted January 9, 2010 Rich - your data base is amazing - do you enter it all yourself of pull it from various site's? Some good racing yesterday, wasn't there? Two sisters, Judy Glazebrook & Jill Gould bred two of the winners, Aintree & Night Life - one in the North & one in the South. Both ladies getting on in years, but racing in their blood - their father bred Leilani.

Rich 1 Report post Posted January 13, 2010 Hi Kay, I enter all NZ winners in to an excel spreadsheet and started in April 2008 so have well over 5,000 races now. Entries include race details and sire/dam, family #, sireline, damsire line, granddam, granddam sire etc. Now I just need a life. Rich, you sure set yourself on a mission, but how satisfying to be able to get such results at the touch of a button. Computers are getting smarter so one that works by voice maybe worth looking at in the future. It must help a lot with selection of mates for your mares.
