Do you think she'll improve 5-6 lengths off today's run?

The trainer believes she has more improvement in her so I don’t see why not, she was not much more than a baby last year but as always time will tell. Reminds me of when Bart Cummings said he had only ever once seen a dead cert once and it got beaten. Obviously KYR is very special but you never know

She went down by less than 2 lengths last year so I don’t believe she needs to make up 5

I feel KYR was eased down last year because he didn't appear to be 100% whilst in Australia. The margin thus flattered Tempted.

And KYR has also improved since last Spring. I don't see him beaten unless by terrible track conditions or bad luck, and he usually takes bad luck out of the equation. KYR by 5 lengths (or 15 lengths if they wanted to make a statement 🤣)

But last year, as a 3yo filly she only carried 51k's, so will go up in the weights while KYR will carry the same weight.

Incredible horse KYR, but researching what his unbeaten run would land him on next April for Champions Day (planning to be there), if he follows the same programme as last year, he would get to 30.

Consider Winx's record at 33 straight, over multiple distances, surely the GOAT.

Tempted does look amazing this time in so may make a closer race of it this time.

Wouldn't label her but I reckon she is a great chance to topple the champ.

Yep up in weight from last year but only a filly then and now she is a beast of a mare.  This year she has been set for the Everest whereas last year I think she was set for the Golden Rose and the Everest was an after-thought (?).

With respect, she can't run 1-6.........she'll have to if she's going to beat him, unless he's off colour, that's their only hope.......gladly.

She is very good. Everyone seems to have forgotten Jimmysstar who was huge last year.

Jimmy was electric in the Manikato last Sunday, very cold ride. Perhaps that is the way to ride him, out the back and charge home.

it  -appears some people dont appreciate the fact that KYR doesn't slow down at the end of his races unless Zac tells him to! LOL.
He is better this year than ever ...only ill health and a very wide draw and interfernce and/or the jock falling off can beat him (IMO).
There, that should put the mockers on 'im.

Love the horse but I think he's a better horse left handed - especially at Caulfield.

TBH a lot of what could happen will come down to the draws and track conditions .

I don't believe that Tempted can give him too big a start at the top of the straight , Ideally for her to have any chance on a good track she needs to draw well and sit right behind only a couple of lengths off him turning in , even then I'm not convinced .

Her best chance is a soft 7 , she draws 5/6 and he draws wide , and then something makes him work .

and he has a change of rider, a bad head cold and gets outta bed on the wrong side of the straw that morning.

All sorts of variables can into play Maxi .

I would just love to see a great race with a tight finish .

and thats the beauty of this 'game' ..speculating what will/could happen ...I was very skeptical about KYR when first touted as a champion sprinter, but his performances - and especially the ease of his wins and times he runs - is indisputable. He is among the best we've ever seen, if not the GOAT.
