Well, seems Cup hopefuls are gettin beat up all over the place by the ol dudes in the race  ol Max Delight gave em a towell up last night winnin sweet as yuh like, poor Kingman had bit of a bad night at the office with an early break from there it was a catch up deal....

Max Delight is such a boring horse to watch race, but man he just keeps on going, and going, and going, and going...... 

Even owning a hair on his tail would bring in a dollar or two.

Yup Idol, he's (MaxD) like a really great engine  warm em up, and goin goin gonnnneeee, man he got em fair an square last night, given the ol fulla (AmericanMe) at Alex Park given em a strumm up on Fri I had to laugh.....Kingman's lil tanty won't do him any favours round the McCarthy barn

Leaper is back guys and on form, last night at Albion, one horse tried to make a race of it but the Leaper cruised up, blew passed, over.....onwards to another season

that's the gross time too. for the 1660m journey. the mile rate was 1.49. 1  .  Not very far off his own track record of 1.48.6 from March this year.

It was yet another TIP TOP performance by Leap To Fame 

Captain Shuffles going flat out the whole way to try and beat the champ. scorched down the back in 26.6 seconds to give him (LTF)  the slip, and leave the rest dropped off altogeather. Then Larry got a ride on the Shuffles back, around home turn though,  and just had to come around him in 28 seconds last quarter to take another great Win.  

( Captain Shuffles has 19 wins and 11 x 2nds from 44 starts and also won his (resume racing) qualifying trial recently in 1.50 ) fancy going 1.50 in a trial lol ?   

These horses just keep doing amazing things  .  just astounding the speed they maintain through the race these days.

Well, from what I saw last night the Ozzies are pretty much on song, the Leaper leapt aaaagain  the Mistress had a workout (corr she's summit else), Kingman at least had his mind on the job (boomer finish), Swayzee hmmmm (still, only first up after time out) and Rockinwithattitude had a fine 2nd for a nice tune-up, and as for stand start manners she got away pretty bloody good off 30m ....onwards to the Cup & Dominion

Can't say I was impressed with Swayze and Minos last night . I thought they were just so so what did you think ?

Agree Charlie, but it was Swayzee's 1st run back after a spell, thought Minos woulda gone better he's had a couple, still time for Swayzee to get it together....but the bloody Mistress she was out for a cruise  did she raise a sweat?
