As someone who has been interested in greyhound racing for many years, the number of starters currently being offered on a day to day basis seems to make a mockery of the sport as it was in time gone by.

My question would have to be, given the attrition rate we are now seeing of good people involved in the sport, who is looking at / reviewing the licences out there?

In the unlikely event that there is any sort of U turn over the closure date, is the product we are currently offering in any enticing to the punter? Surely now is the time to cull the number of meetings to keep the "product" credibility...or is apathy still the name of the game?

Just a thought....
