Well done if you backed it. A smart animal at best and showed it today. The drive was also very good, staying out of the early burn.

Alta Meteor at least the equal of Pinseeker, but just hasn’t progressed since Cup build up. Time for a rest now and no doubt he will be back again.

I think Alta Meteors a bit soft. Hes a wee way off the better ones whereas on best behavior Pinseeker is right up there

Ummmmmmmmmm...he had better start landing a few of the bigger/money races. When he flashed home for 2nd in Hannon Memorial over 15months ago  his run got more publicity than the winner. He has won 4 since Sept 2024. Love to see J Cox win some big ones, lets wait and see.

Perhaps, they have finally got him sorted 🤞I hope he progresses onwards an upwards, if they can harness all that power he showed early on, damn he could be anythin....

the problem with Pinseeker is he does too much wrong , especially pulling very hard at times.

therefore he only won One race last year as a 5 year old , in what should of been his peak season? . One race Win makes him look very average actually.

nice start to his 6 year old year with a Win on New Years Day , but once the distance gets out to mile and half + , he'll struggle once again.  (manners)

best thing he could do, is race at Menangle where they could just 'Cut him loose' like they do with so many of these over powerful types.  and they have races that suit All through the whole year. running a mile to a mile and a quarter.

I think you are right, Pure mate. Pinseeker is a sprinter and Menangle would be ideal for him. He could race often and his manners will probably improve with regular racing? Who do you think would be the best Sydney trainer for him.

young kiwi lad Jack Trainor from Canterbury should get his license back soon. (this year) has had a 18 month holiday for some minor infringements lately.

He really gets em' ripping . Braeview Kelly (won 5 of first 6 when arrived from NZ) as did Aardies Express. He was winning Group races with them and is a fine trainer of fast horses. He has experience with Kentuckiana Dalgety's in NZ too , where he learnt the craft before crossing the Tasman, and would be ideal to get a horse like PINSEEKER winning them in a row..

I seen Pinseeker race here in the winter…. Mighty impressive…. Would be a great addiction to our FFA ranks….

Dead right PS , he can be very fierce but he looked very settled this time and no excuses for the rest . Wag Star not a smart move not letting Alta Meteor go earlier .

Alta Meteor was very poor should have gone better in a poor field .

Frustrating horse glad I don't back him

Another impatient drive Charlie mate. I think it was a better field than the Omakau Cup he won. Big runs from I'm Tough, Hadron Collider and Vessem that came home well from the rear of the field.

Yes so right . Was good to see Olivia back on Vessem too . They did beat Akuta's record and ran a quick 1.51.5 but Pinseeker , I bet the bookies love him when he races lol . I see one big bet of $1400 on him down the drain .

Guys I think yuh bein a bit tough on Pinseeker, he drew 9, it's a sprint, he raced 3 wide a good part of the journey sustained his sprint when Close asked him (I agree perhaps went a tad early, but horse can only work with the person sittin behind him) he did not flag it on the run home; he kept tryin right the way to the wire 🤗 hey, he didn't win it but it was a fightin 4th, he went down whackin....given the way you were all talkin I thought he must have lost his nut again.....

I watched the race. The leader and winner was always travelling really well, while Pinseeker did a lot of work from that draw. You would have expected him to let down a little better though in the straight.

Charlie, just sayin I think he did a bloody good job with what he had to work with on the day, and, at least he didn't lose his nut as he has in the past....and I thought he (Pinseeker) let down pretty good given his circumstances, if I was his owner I'd be quite chuffed with his run 🤗 he is a work in progress and I'm lookin forward to see how he does....

No way, Iraklis mate. It was a poor run but that was due to the shocking drive. I can't believe how impatient many drivers are these days! There was no need to be three wide. I think Cox believes the hacks like Guerin who have overrated the horse. The Omakau Cup was a poor small field; Nelson field better with It's Tough, Harrison John and Vessem as good as Pinseeker and Hadron Collider pretty close to. He's not going to beat these horses with a drive like that. Send him to Australia.

Poor impatient drive. Cannot win driven like that. Shocking!

I have to say our crop of top horses is really poor . Akuta , Merlin , RP apart from them , there is nothing really to get excited about .

Marketplace , GTC , The Lazarus Effect , Better Knuckle Up , Jeremiah are really the only ones showing promise

Yes and it is even worse with the trotters Charlie mate. Oscar and Muscle Mountain both old horses and they can still beat most of the young trotters around. The Australians are ahead of us in both gaits.

Janitor mate leave it out, understand you don't like him and that's fine, but Pinseeker ran home good given the work he did, 3 wide for good part of it, both at the start and then the last part of race sprintin from where he was, carried it on through the last 400, turnin sure he was feelin it an bloody entitled to, however he did keep whackin....he didn't do what he has done in the past, run his nut off and tailed out last!...I agree Cox could've waited tad longer before startin his run, but hey horse drew 9 in a sprint, Pinseeker was always gunna find it ruff from there, come on now

Apologies in my other post I referred to 'Close' as the driver, should've been Cox.....

Cheers Iraklis
