You should have seen Popplewell trying to rave it up when that guy was playing something you couldn't understand.

It was the most cringeworthy thing on Trackside this year.

with such a big starting  pool it is no better than taking 10 dollars and turn it into  30dollars..... In last 15 weeks most were losing nights so good  on them.... However the deliberate dumbing down of the format is what ,I believe, annoys us hardened Racewatchers. It does to me and is a disservice to harness racing. I doubt the "headbangers'of the population are not that interested in spending real money on horses/dogs as need it for other recreational activities.. IMHO (same  age as DT.)

Well, they turned $10k in to $30k last night.

Favourite after favourite… it’s like watching someone invest in bank term deposits and call it betting. They only do any good if the favs keep winning and yesterday was a real favs day.

Caught last hour of last nights episode. $15K plus turned into $50k plus. Lots of screaming ,hugging, kisses  after the 1.30 shot got home. A profit yes which is good but put into perspective for a $15k outlay the return is hard to justify the euphoria the 4 clowns showed. But then again I guess we would have seen the same carry on if they'd only made a 10$ profit.

But a win is a win so we'll done

4 clowns 🤣 Kenepuru, was watchin Longmire, turned over for 2 races in between, I just couldn't watch LTGate for more than those few mins  FNLights is more my cuppa gin, yuh get more horsesy stuff, and all the interviews etc are priceless.....

The Thursday night shenanigans and FNlights are chalk and cheese. Like most Racecafe people I prefer the latter and think it an informative and entertaining show. A significant improvement on what we used to have. However, by the amount of money going on, Thursday night must have its followers and who are we to be snobs. Different strokes for different folks.

What the hell has age got to do with anythin Toblerone? it's about taste; they're two different shows, one is more informative surroundin harness racin re horses, trainers, drivers and owners, it's not just all about bettin; the OTGate show strikes me is all about bettin over all, not the same feel about harness racin as FNLights has 🤗 yes there is all the other racin thrown in but when it comes to the harness, there's just more.....

Older tastes are generally different to younger tastes though Iraklis. And I have to say, given the Thursday night fields - both quality and quantity - Greg and Brittany would struggle to do provide serious, in depth analysis. I never watched Thursday nights anyway, due to the crap fields, but now I have to reasons to do something else 🤣

Toblerone you worry me . you have good insight and poor at same time. Put me in a category you could not even imagine.... the over 75s so I hate everything young people love... thats one of your poorer comments... Age =experience and experience counts. A good young programme for the 18 to 30 year olds is a great concept when it is done well.. (eg Australian rugby League with Matty John ,hugely popular and true comedy. )when its embarrassingly done badly it is simply bad for the industry... whatever your vintage...A bit of advice for the clowns, 1 rule of live TV is to assume the cameras are always live (the  concept of which they have not learned.)I have been owner, punter ,club secretary, treasurer, committee man since 1960s till now and bet 10 times as much when in my younger days so don't write me off as I know we must encourage the younger group to get on board with Harness Racing.. It is a great Industry when done well.

While I am keen to set records  straight, the  "triangle man"who seems to disparage everything south of the Bombays, ATC last night could not arouse any interest in betting with 4 trot races ( rule 1 never bet on trotting races)and our greatest track in our greatest city could not even get a pace race with3 place dividends. how is that for excitement...(not) (cant even say'  we are going to the dogs' because it may be true !)

Age has literally everything to do with it you mug.
It is run through BETCHA, an app aimed at young people.
It is hosted by a young, popular musician. It uses the 'pot' function on Betcha which is designed to get YOUNG people betting with their mates.

Have you used that function? I reckon probably not.
