Anthony Roberts breach of the welfare code that surely he should of known  as he is an  industry's board member. These guys just keep digging bigger holes for themselves.   All of the excuses dont make this right for the  dog  concerned.  We love our dogs they love to race is what Roberts has quoted on the media.  Will he get the boot off the board or will they cover this up like they have in the past.

Unfortunately greyhound racing in this country is finished, those concerned have been 7warned over and over.

But they keep re-offending and have dug a huge hole that they will never climb out of. It’s interesting that those that have been caught out are some of the bigger kennels.

Not only from big kennels they are or have been on GRNZ board or have a conflict of interest.  Example John McInerney  was a lp rep and had David Emerson in his corner.  Fahey had his wife.  Freeman had Mr Bradley unsure if that is the correct spelling.  Cole/Ahern had Craig Rendelle.  Craig Roberts on there now.  This has been the problem for years.

To be fair to Kevin Brady, he was a proper business man.

Ive had a few discussions with him at Palmy over the years and I think alot of the points hes made were correct.

I dont agree with everything hes said but we might have been in a better position if there were a few more people on the board like him.

Agreed. I have had a fair few conversations with Kevin over the years. He his a good bloke who’s decisions and thoughts in my experience were well reasoned.

None of it matters anymore, and it really angers me all of the outrageous stuff that has occurred over the years and the extent of offending.

Also the prominent people that had association with the ratbags that never said anything, pundits and even a racecaller or two that profess that they had no clue.

The Freeman example beggars belief, and then he becomes a president of Palmy, what the hell are people thinking ??? There were a few identities still around involved with that kennel at the time.

I've had a few greyhounds over the years and the two trainers I was associated with were as passionate, honest and loving and caring for the dogs that you would ever meet. And they are now a longtime out of it. They were both sick of the mistreatment, cheating and corruption and just couldn't compete against it.

So GRNZ allowed the real greyhound people to disappear and let the ratbags remain to eventually see it through to it's demise .. thank you very much to all of you that offended and those that said and did nothing.

From the moment Winston made the announcement many months ago it was over.

The fight cannot be won. In the cool light of day when they look back they will clearly see how a few recidivists killed it. It simply ain’t difficult to unpack. Gone.

When are people going to pull there heads out of their arsses and stop blaming Winston there have been 3 reviews into greyhound racing in the last 10yrs let's be honest what has changed injuries and death rates are still to high if GRNZ was not spending hundreds of thousands repairing broken dogs the death rate would be in the hundreds all this leeds to is falsifying statistics. If ten years ago they had of reduced breeding numbers and reduced racing dogs from 2 to 3 times a week to once a week and introduced more straight track racing I have no doubt that the injurie rate would have been alot less. Everyone wants to blame Winston and the government when it was the last government that set the banning of Greyhounds in motion. I no Everyone is very upset an angry but some of the blame has to lie with GRNZ and the trainers that have abused the industry because of greed. But life will go on for all the participants after racing comes to a close as I learnt when I left the sport years ago. I wish you all the best for the future 🙏 God Bless
