Come on, a Heavy 10 - in Ireland, that would be called Good, Yielding in places.

They run 6f in 1.07 - 1.08 on good ground at the Curragh don't they? Actually I seem to remember a horse running close to 1.08 there on soft to heavy a few years back. Verhoyen?

Very good and by sheer coincidence the veteran - now a 10-y-o - goes for the 94th time tomorrow once again at The Curragh and over 1200m in a handicap.

He won a 1200m handicap in May 2019 on Yielding ground clocking 1 minute 14.22 seconds which was 3.52 seconds slower than standard time so the official standard for the 1200m at The Curragh is 1 minute 10.7 seconds which is on a straight track.

I am less than 40km from Matamata and the weather looks dreadful.  The going may be a swamp by race five.  Will The Cup be postponed?  Let us see.

Looks like we were spot on Stevo!
