Spring Pairs comp - Round 6 entry thread

After last week can I suggest that if you can, you check prior to the posting deadline to see whether your partner has posted a set of picks.  If they haven't then feel free to post some picks for them.  I will leave the thread open beyond the posting deadline for such a situation.

If you do post a set of picks for someone else can I ask that you make them somewhat different to your own picks - maybe change a few, or make some single pick races, ......

 

1.  Either pick two horses in each race listed below - you will have $10 each way on both and a $2 quinella; or if you'd prefer to pick just one horse in any (or all of the races) you can do that and you will have $20 each way on that one runner,  but you will forego the quinella.

2.  You will have two best bet races where your bet is doubled.  They can be any two of the 12 races listed below.

Posting deadline this week is 2.00pm

Please enter horse numbers, not names and remember to nominate two best bet races, and some form of punctuation between your two numbers is very helpful - thanks.

Ohoka I think this is unnecessary. John gives up his time week in week out for EVERYONES enjoyment for FREE. I choose the races not him so I chose these and we decided to do earlier finishing races because of the extra hour time difference and it would of been a late finish.

In that case the results would not be confirmed until sometime the next day.

Sorry but we try to do our best for all here and this type of unnecessary sniping quite frankly pisses me off. John does not deserve this without him there would most likely not be weekly comps.

Sometimes it would be good for people to say thanks for the things offered here rather than having a dig.

A salient lesson here on how important it is consider how any message you give is likely to be perceived.
I personally didn't see anything humorous in the "off the cuff" comment. I doubt that many others did either.
Unless a person is 100% certain that a message is going to be received in the way that the initiator intends, then the best course of action before going to print is ... don't.

It's funny , perceptions , when I read it yesterday I clearly seen it as a bit of humuor and dig at himself .
