Gee some good totals today, and some close contests for most of the day.Congrats to the winners and well done partner we managed to scrape home. Nomates and reacher were bloody hard to head off.

Thanks SNM for the scoring, its amazing how fast you are at it, thats what makes the comps so fun.

Great contest that seesawed a couple of times , no easy games in this sport .

Thanks to my partner , next week is our week mate .

That was the most amazing battle you guys: Wow, huge fun and congrats that was a formidable finish.

Well done partner, you carried old Jack all day, guess it is the Greyhound bus to the next meet.

Standings after Round 1

Group A with quite a wide range of scores - some very poor - scorer included :(  Pondy and Al overcame a fast start from the phantom picks to lead the way.  Insider & Montydrum off to a great start - Joan looking out for them?

Group B with a more even spread of scores.  A couple of RP pairings near the top of the table with Pete/Richie leading the way.

I'm not sure if I've posted this on the other thread.  The play-offs will work like this.

The top 4 in each group will play in the Championship play-offs.  Teams placed 5-8 in each group will play in the Plate.  And teams 9-12 in the Bowl.

In Week 10 we will play the quarter-finals.  The 1st placed team in each group will play the 4th placed team in the other group and the 2nd placed team in each group will play 3rd from the other group.   Same principle for Plate (5 vs 8, 6 vs 7 cross group), and Bowl (9 vs 12, 10 vs 11 cross group).

Quarter finals will be straight knockout. Winners proceed to the semi-finals, losers eliminated (no second chances).

In the semi finals (Week 11) the highest ranked team will play the lowest ranked team. Ranking based on finishing position in Group, then points earned, then $$$ earned in pool play.

Semi-final winners will play off in the Grand finals (Week 12).
