Not sticking up for him or saying he's a good or bad presenter.  Just saying if you can't hear or understand him you might have a hearing

No problems hearing or understanding him.  Try this fun test https://www.bayaudiology.co.nz/online-hearing-test

Thanks, I passed the test, even with out the head phones

Our "presenters" are terrible across the board. Only Jayne would get a job offshore, and that's because she has already worked for Racing.com.

I like Emily, but she appears too teleprompter-driven at times. As for the men.... they are just poor across all levels. Presentation, forced laughing/jokes, lack of betting knowledge (which is different to horse knowledge), asks about track conditions all the way up to Race 10.

I imagine they're all on decent salaries too, given they're on TV. And no, I couldn't do any better.

They are mostly very ordinary...they had better ones and all are gone....and Popplewell turns up for those pre race punting shows in street wear and is so unprofessional...but they would for sure be earning some decent money, most if not all needn't some proper training ...at least. Jane and Guy are at least professional and do not ask stupid questions like Rodley does time after time, the same old one over and over what were your expectations today...cringe...what do you think Aiden 🤡,and poor old sweens tries hard but struggles

I like the Aussie guys from Formline . Also Corey Brown , Richo , Hutch , BZ , Greg Radley , Ron and Brad when they are on track  . Just seems more professional

I could watch the Get On crew all day long. They don't need to try hard because their personalities are ingrained. Kiwis sorely lack in this area.

The Formline guys are a little more serious, as is the show, but still entertaining and informative - and as Scooby said, you don't see Hutch or Ron turning up wearing an LA Lakers hoodie and Warriors cap.

Aussies just do it better, unfortunately.

Training is the understatement, goes hand in glove with the demise of Journalism when the Education sector changed it to Communications Studies.

Do they still teach Elocution lessons at schools, or have New Zealand's standards slipped off the hill into the mudbath with the last storm?

The universities / Education sectors all need a clean out and cleaning up there act

Some of ours are good, some not quite there yet.  Not much of worth in what they say to help you make a quid, but you can't have no shows to watch and nothing in between races.  Exceptions are Bruce Sherwin (what can't this guy do?) and Leith Innes (occasionally).

My favs are Duff and Radley, very professional and deep in identifying trials performers ready to run

Great show

The Formline weekly show each Thursday is a goldmine. An absolute lesson in quality, professionalism, presentation and knowledge of horse, jockey, trainer and in depth form commentary, all shared in an organised, interesting and enjoyable format. The track condition and weather forecast summary with the track manager to open the show is on-point and valuable. No puffery, no waffle, no pretense, just solid, reliable information for punters by commentators Ron Dufficy, Brad Gray and Tim Ryan, all of whom  actually know their subject in depth. Radley is the doyen of hosts in my opinion and our TAB could learn much from this show as our equivalents are just dross by comparison.
