5 Saturdays comp - Results thread

Recommended Posts

Looks like Whanganui might be moved back one race.  Rules stated that I would score them in the order listed even if there were delays, but because it's the start of the day I've made an executive decision and will score them in the order they are run - makes my life a lot easier.

Because the change is made before we've started nobody will be advantaged or disadvantaged.

ps.  had a wee chuckle just now listening to Trackside - "you don't have to be a rocket surgeon"  :)

Round 1 - Whanganui R2 - 2 of 12

# Name Jockey/Driver/Trainer Win Place
4 Scelta Di Elena Leah Hemi 13.70 4.00

5 lives lost in that one including a second for Winner (aptly named).  The nine of us on Cooper breathe a big sigh of relief.  Next race picks are for Pukekohe R5.

Round 1 - Whanganui R4 - 4 of 12

# Name Jockey/Driver/Trainer Win Place
11 Debbi Harri Jim Chung A2 5.40 1.90

17 lives lost in that one but no further eliminations.  Lucasduke, who from memory was eliminated early the last time we did this, continues to lead the way.

Round 1 - Pukekohe R7 - 7 of 12

# Name Jockey/Driver/Trainer Win Place
11 Frostfair Warren Kennedy 3.90 1.70

8 lives lost in that one and three more eliminated.  Lucasduke loses their first life and Kloppite takes a narrow lead over Al Feilding - the two of them closer together on this table than their football teams are in the EPL table :)

2 Tshiebwe Sima Mxothwa A4 10.90 3.50

Round 1 - Whanganui R7 - 10 of 12

# Name Jockey/Driver/Trainer Win Place
4 Drop Of Something Leah Hemi 6.30 1.70

11 lives lost and four more eliminated.  Just under half the field still standing.  Basil Brush with a nice best bet on two of the favourites to jump into the lead with two races to come.

Round 1 - Whanganui R8 - Final race

# Name Jockey/Driver/Trainer Win Place
10 Zenazed Tegan Newman 6.90 2.30

Two of the top 5 going into that race fall at the final hurdle (Al F and Pak Star).

Lucasduke who was in and around the lead all day, lost a life in the last but held on to take Round 1 honours from Kloppite who just edged out Jack for second spot.

16 of 39 made it to the finish line and two entrants didn't lose a life - Insider's cautious (Tarantula like) approach earned them a few more points than in the same round last time.
