And if not by the likes of the French, who already had a presence, then at the hands of each other. Why the tribes had to slaughter each other when they had a country the size of New Zealand to settle in I'll never understand.

and ironically, we modern-day Kiwis of all races (not just Pakeha) get rammed down our threats the idea that Maori are the sole  'guardians/ stewards of land, air and sea, at one with nature bla bla bla ..as if they are the only ethnicity that has a sense of the divine.

If we are all paddling the same waka, why they are so obsessed with never-ending redress for past sins (all of which can be addressed through the Waitangi Tribunal/Maori Land Court, ie due judicial process.

A lot of the 'noise' communicated via multiple media platforms now (incl MSM), is ill-informed and not fair/balanced reporting. Public service journos/interviewers have become more like activists (recent eg Jenny May Clarkson, nee Coffin), thinking their job is to express their opinions when it's not; their job is to elicit information from their interviewees, as Seymour reminded her a few days ago).

Seymour's shutdown of JMC nee C, was classic television. Should be shown in media-training school on how NOT to conduct an interview.
