I note it's on freeview starting tomorrow and is on satellite and uhf on TVNZs Duke 1 channel so that will please a few, not everyone has superfast internet, nor uhf freeview, so a positive step forward.

Saturday from 2 30, Trackside Premier but on Tuesday looks like it's only from 4 30 until 5.40, well that's how the TV guide seems to read, so it seems on Melbourne Cup Day you will just get everything jammed on 1 and 2.

It's a shame they couldn't run the Channel 9 Australia coverage for us on an extra channel. As it is we miss a lot of the colour and atmosphere from Flemington because as you mentioned Trackside 1 will likely have Ellerslie, Wingatui, Randwick etc all packed in.

Hopefully it won't be as bad as Saturday when they took a race from Doomben and the Cox Plate lead-up got edited so we had the horses being shown in the parade ring before it cut to them in the gates ready to jump.

I use Malwarebytes. Works fine in both countries.

I  use Private Internet Access (PIA) very inexpensive and was able to bet on NZ TAB when in Bali

Did that work for you Max?

Of course if you use VPN to watch channel 9, you then can't access your NZTAB account at the same time so have to bet with your ozzie accounts unless you switch back and forward. Makes little sense to me, but Entain evidently think it increases their business here.

Emily Murphy, Matt Cross are doing the premier hour for the Melbourne Cup on one, no Toni Street, she may be a nice person but presenting racing ain't one of her skills, Guy Heveldt use to be a Co presenter on one too but he's on another holiday, in Melbourne.
