Who uses the TAB XML APIs?

Are any of you subscribers to RaceCafe users of the TAB XML API's at xml.tab.co.nz to get data from this source programatically?

What about the new Entain JSON based API's?

Anyone had any communication from TAB or Etain on the future of the API's?

Anyone got a contact name in the IT area of TAB / Entain?

The TAB help desk capability seems to have gone down hill lately

I see as of today they have disabled the XML (they had flagged they were going to do it), according to the TAB helpdesk. I have asked the HelpDesk for the link to the Entain JSON API (I know it was on the XML page but cannot locate it now), as I gather that is what should be used going forward?

Anyone have any experience with the API - Entain did seem, based on my viewing it some time ago, to only want corporate connections (not personal punters who could use the XML), so will be interesting to see if they let punters access it.

Thanks Leggy, and yes, part of what I was after.. like often happens I located it just after I posted, but if I recall Entain also had some instructions on getting a Partner ID (which I gather is needed going forward)... if I find out more, I will post here.

You might have to use 

tab.news@tabnz.org

Not sure if useful, but the TAB helpdesk confirmed if you are using the API for personal use, you do not need the formal Entain provided X-partner-ID, but you must still provide your email, and stay within reasonable usage.

Thay should make this all easy so anyone can do it. It would have attraction to the younger tech savy people .

The API itself lets you use some computer code or Apps to access/retrieve the TAB's Betting data (Meetings, Fields, Pools, Results, Futures, etc.), and then what you use it for is up to each user. Everything it retrieves is on the TAB App/Web Site, but not always usable, or in a way you want to view it.  For example, I use it for tracking Jackpot pools that I want to be alerted on.

I use it to build a form guide from a database with all the latest track conditions scratchings etc. You can also get pricing etc if you wish.
Instead of running it like a secret society my own opinion is the more data they make freely available the more people will bet. They need to look at the competition. Young people can get a free Api from a crypto exchange that enables them to program trade with a .1 % commission.  They have the ability to back test strategies and just lots more.
