Isn't she a star? She and Ed Chamberlin front the free-to-air UK racing coverage on the big days in the summer.

Stars of the future? Adele Mulrennan, wife of northern jockey Paul, is definitely one to follow - her understanding of horses far exceeds Francesca's and she gets to do the paddock inspections and the pre-parade at the big meetings and they've let her present at the away meeting.

Megan Nicholls - daughter of trainer Paul, partner of jockey Kevin Stott, a work in progress but did well on the Racing TV coverage of Goodwood alongside Lydia Hislop. Still lacks confidence but will be fronting the racing coverage in 3-5 years.

A word also for ex-jump jockey Tom Scudamore who is very eloquent on the jumps scene but with a nice bit of humour - he should be used more.
