Hi , Lisa’s mum here, yes, Lisa had a fall after the post race 2 when unfortunately Pretending broke down.
She has been taken to hospital for scans on her back/shoulder. She has full movement of her limbs and recall of everything. 
We thank you for your concerns for Lisa, it never gets easier for me watching the races !!
Our thoughts are also with Terri Rae on the loss of her horse Pretending, it’s a heartbreaking game at times.

Wouldn't find a more tough determined jockey in the country, wish her all the best in her recovery. She was riding winners for fun recently too.

Sad to hear that. Was ridding real well. Missing the trip to Japan just makes it worse.

Aidan Rodley just posted on Social Media that Lisa Allpress is facing a 6 month recovery period. Didn't see the race and sounds like I don't want to. 

Was hoping to get back home to Wanganui today.

Aidan's report has added a further dimension to this very unfortunate happening. Lisa has been at the top of her game recently and she is always a fine ambassadress for all jockeys with her personal presentation at the races and her ability to communicate when being interviewed. Our very, very best wishes.

Lisa Allpress has had surgery to have a spinal rod inserted and has a 6 month recovery period ahead of her, and is hoping to get home to Whanganui, if she isn't home already.

TurnyTom I think that was a bit rude of you to be fair. Whilst I certainly am not a fan of the way Miss Jools carries on and lashes out at everyone, but she was simply providing an update for a jockey that is clearly struggling.

Thanks Zakhu, I sometimes wonder why I bother posting on here.  98% of the people on here are either miserable wankers, and/or they assume I work for the TAB. I honestly don't know where they get the idea that I do work for the TAB, from.  I was just passing on an update on Lisa Allpress,  that's all!

The incident happened just after the winning post, when her Mount Pretending faltered and Lisa came off,  she can move her arms and legs.  No idea if we'll see her back riding this season or not,  fingers crossed we will.

I honestly can't tell if you just like to wind people up, or if you really are oblivious.  98% of people here aren't miserable wankers.  They're just wankers towards you.  Your comment on the Sweeney thread might help to explain why.

I never assume you work for the TAB Jools.I suppose there is an outside chance I may be in the other category.
