Throw in his credit bet at the Parnell TAB. Good luck to him but I would rather watch a blank screen than tune into his show. I won't watch it . I used to watch The Box Seat but find it very boring these days . I prefer watching Formline and have a bet on the gallops in Aussie nowadays . In saying that have had a punt on Gladys Greenland tonight at the Park hoping lead trail . Friend Family 371 Report post Posted July 12 Isn't it great that 99% of you want to bag Mick Guerin and yet if the truth be known not ONE of you could measure up to him as a presenter .....not ONE. He is right at the top of his game after a lifetime in the industry and fully deserves this show of his own which Entain have recognised. The other thing I find remarkable is that the show is 2 months away and you have already panned it.....WOW talk about putting the cart before the horse! ...but how many of you will come back 'cap in hand' after it gets rave reviews huh?? ....2% ?? I hope he blows the lights out and puts all the naysayers in their place. Tauhei Notts and Goodison

Idolmite 3,114 Report post Posted July 12 I think the expectations of some posters here are unrealistic. For one, who is funding the show? Then consider who will turn out for a second interview if they get slammed in the first one? The show would be done, dusted and off the air within a month if any host acted as what some of you are suggesting. It's always a fine line when interviewing anybody in an official capacity how far you can go with things, especially if your job relies on you interviewing them again at some point. Yeah , but your giving him an Oscar before the show has even aired , I certainly haven't bagged him , I quite like him but find his interviewing technique a bit vanilla and saccharine when dealing with some of the more high profile guests . I don't know who you think is going to be giving him "Rave reviews" , perhaps the other paid employees . You do have a tendency to slash and burn when someone doesn't agree with your opinion , maybe an acceptance that you are not all knowing would save these agent orange situations . I agree, there are restrictions in any job, as there are in posting on a forum You can take the I will go all out and try to uncover some gritty things each week and end up doing very little and being sidelined, except for some cameo spots, or you can play by the rules and try to get what you can within those parameters... perhaps sometimes pushing the boundaries. I'm not sure what type of show it's intended to be, but all I'm saying is that no business would ever fund a show [TV, Live Stream, Radio whatever] whose sole purpose is to put those funding the show, and those effectively providing the content, on the spot. EVER. I too would love to see a show that does get to the nitty gritty, but it won't be Mick Guerin's fault when this one doesn't.
