The old story, each to their own, and you'll never please everyone, I'm sure some of the naysayers will be turning in all the same, but everyone has at the choice, may an episode of the new series, below the deck, may float your boat.

Correct Shad .....the 'naysayers' WILL tune in so they can BAG him .....but if the show is a roaring success their weetbix the following morning will taste like shit......because they got it horribly WRONG.

Way too many 'brickbats' handed out in NZ so its time for some 'Bouquets'.

Second question , " Why has Ellerslie been such a F@#ken mess ?" , not when will it be used again , or platitudes about how great it will be for the industry .

Bouquets can only be handed out when something has been done and successfully .

Not sure how you think a bright and shiny, self titled NEW show is going to change the Leopards' spots overnight FF??

The so called 'naysayers' have sat through years of 'brown nose' journalism, so I think their skepticism is pretty fair.

My suggestion is Mick should take a FF How to Ruffle Feathers Course before the show gets underway, because at it stands the 'fear of biting the feeding hand' will remain and we will end up with no more than 'a shiny jewelry' version of the current offerings.

You know , I wouldn't go on as a punter , but someone who has been involved hands on for 40 years in all facets of racing and has a very good understanding of the industry , I would make Luke Radich proud I can tell you . I've watched this industry being dismantled brick by brick with very little in the way of damage control . All I've seen is acceptance of how things are going and a "Let's just take care of our own position " attitude .

 I am alone in being able to do this , the people who can and could have really changed the direction this industry has been going over decades are the same people who have been disregarded as having any relevance or importance . The industry is full of people who could have had a huge impact on changing the downward spiral .

I wonder if he would be prepared to have a viewers question section ? I definitely know those being asked the questions wouldn't want any part of it .

I think it will be nothing more than an information show , which in itself isn't the worst thing to watch , god knows we don't get enough through our head body .

It will more than likely be light weight , just can't imagine too much interrogation taking place .

Credit where credit's due. They do have a sense of timing. I can guarantee Ellerslie will be up and going again and in perfect condition for the sweepstakes and slot race.

Mick certainly has form- totally unwarranted attacks on Brian O'Meara when Christian Cullen was totally dominant followed by similar attacks on Warren Stapleton. Throw in his credit bet at the Parnell TAB. Good luck to him but I would rather watch a blank screen than tune into his show.

Firstly .....Gubey its not a tipping show ....lets get that straight ....it will be an informative and educational racing insight show.

Nobody mentioned tipping as tipping is a thankless task.

Secondly ....Palliser ...was waiting for you to weigh in with yet another negative comment as that's your Modus Operandi.... throwing out truckloads of negativity.....and getting it wrong 98% of the time.... so good on ya mate for keeping your profile low.

I was under the impression that Guerin has made a fortune out of punting, he certainly talks himself up, maybe he just works for the Herald for something to do.

As for his new show on TV, as long as he says what Entain want him to say he will be fine.

Read the room, think you'll find you are Wrong 98% of the time. I will give credit and ticks where they are due, but why would I thumbs up rubbish. All Emtain have done is thrown a lot of money around. Some personnel are giving it their best shot and good on them. But to be frank if you keep fielding a mediocre team then you will only get mediocrity.

No one makes money out of punting lol . I knew Steel Balls like many others and looked what happened to him
