Steveo13 16 Report post Posted May 30, 2024 WANGANUI R1 NEVER LOOK BACK, eye catching at Woodville, drops 1 kg to 57.5kg happy to stick with. KAHU ROCK, winner on 7 on heavy tracks, looks well placed here 4th up. CARPE DIEM, last raced here on a heavy 10 on the 3/06/2023, went down a short margin to Kahu Rock, chance on that. R2 DURHAM LAD has had two trials to get him ready, good fresh record, E/W. WEWILLROCK, solid work this week over two rounds, question mark on heavy 10, but is fit. BOLD BELLE carries no weight here, major threat. R3 CONNELLO, nice recent win, looks like she will handle a heavy track, E/W, HE’s LUCID, adds interest here, strong late runs at both trials, unknown of heavy. BELARDI, likely favorite, smart type, super trainer, and jockey, hard to beat. R4 SOPHMAZE, nice work this week, has fresh record, big show. RINGTHEBELLEDARCI, showed readiness when a good second on a soft 6 at trials, grow another leg here, consider fresh. ICONIC LASS, happy to stick with here, worked home well at Taranaki meeting, E/W R5 BADGERTHEWITNESS, good trial win, however, it was right-handed. Will be running on. EYEGEEGEE, wont mid the heavy track and steps up in distance, rates here. BIKINDY, finds best form when track is heavy, one to beat here. WATCH HORSE, SHARADA, jump out winner this week, over 100m in 1.01.6, forward enough to be worth considering. R6 ELIUD, bred to run distance, dam won 4 from 1600m – 2400m, if handles the track, he is the bet of the day. NOTABADSPILLLANE, back out of group company, struggled right-handed, keep safe. LOCH KATRINE will handle the track, that’s a big help here. WATCH HORSE: BOZO, mid-week open trial winner in preparation for this, adds interest. R7 TURN THE ACE, winner of 8 from 23, looks well placed here. JUSTASKME, solid last week, expecting a big run this week. BELARDO BOY, loves the course and has won 3 of 5 at distance, will be thereabouts at finish. R8 PERFECT TEST, better suit here than of the soft 7 2nd up, can bounce back, SUBTLE TEASE, drops to light weight, was ok at Wellington, can back up. LADY PERFROMER, loves it wet, can win the last here. AUCKLAND R1 POKURU GOLD, super nice win against similar rivals, twice placed right-handed, one to beat. NAXOS, grand dam won 4 of 13 and won a little over $200,000, happy to give another shot here. CITY GIRL, backed win with a solid 2nd to favorite, maps well here to have one run late. E/W R2 SHAKING STEVENS, followed a nice trial win with a first up 4th. OPIE hops on and so should we. CASH TREASURE, little unlucky at Waikato, weight off and blinkers on, solid chance here. BAGGIO, winner right-handed at trials, will get a sit, will be in the finish. R3 DELZ ABEEL, has looked good working up to his first race-day start, watch tote. RAREZA, Cole runner who has had plenty of work before a nice 5th first up, happy to follow. THE EXPONENT, top jock onboard, gear changes and hard to beat here. Only question is the heavy nature of the track. R4 RAAJOICES, due to run into form, loves it wet and right-handed, expecting a big run here. TE ATATU MEMPHIS, suited by track and distance, fitter for two runs, strong chance. PRINCESS ADDA, fitter for recent racing, has been disappointing, but can figure when right. R5 WESSEX, showed real fight at Rotorua, maps to win here. LITTLE BIT OF LOVE, tricky draw, but is incredibly talented, E/W. ACQUAREILO, keeps going from strength to strength. Keep safe. KAKADU, the extra 200m suit this guy, good 2nd up record, don’t leave out. R6 WINEXPRESS, better for two runs in, solid trial placing before that, is coming to had, big watch. SLIVER JAVELIN, tricky draw, but drops in weight, goes ok right-handed, one to beat. FOOTLOOSE, super trial in the mud at Te Aroha on the 18/05/2024, finished strongly behind Pier, follow next few runs. E/W R7 MISTER PUCCI, is due after running home late last couple, more rain the better. JAFFIRA, drops to 57 kgs. Wide draw should help by this time, big show late. THREE NINETY, spotted charging home when 5th, ODDS. MALDINI, cannot beat winning form, draw 1 could be concern this time of the day, consider.
