two questions - no prizes, just the self-satisfaction of being the equine equivalent of a train spotter 1. No horse has won the Golden Slipper-Cox Plate double. Five horses however, have come close by winning one race and placing in the other. Name the 5. 2. Which stallion has sired the most individual winners of the Cox Plate ? 3. Who was the last Cox Plate winner to be sired by a Cox Plate winner ? 4. Tommy Smith trained 5 Cox Plate winners - who were they ? 5. Only one runner in the 2013 renewal is by a stallion who even started in a Cox Plate. Who is that sire and where did he finish in his Cox Plate start ? Also who won that race ? 6. The Long John Mission - who was the last Caulfield Guineas winner to win the Cox Plate in the same season ? 7. The It's A Dundeel Feat - only 5 Australian Derby winners have gone on to capture a W.S. Cox Plate at 4 years. Who are they ?

Phar Lap twice won the Cox Plate and backed up successfully in the Mackinnon as did Beau Vite. Ajax achieved this feat in 1938. Since the end of WWII 12 horses have completed the Cox Plate-Mackinnon Stakes double in the same year. Who were they ?
