  1. Maybe they decided due to the nature of the injury it caused him to drift back?
  2. Heats tomorrow. Who's going to get through to the final? I like Brando to win the final based on trialling performance and recent 650m win. Little Teegan will strive on the right circuit and will be right in the firing line. Who is everyone else's picks?
  3. Wasnt digging at the dog or training at all Slim, I pretty much saying what you are - Match Fit and ready. Ive backed him on the futures. Very impressive on his first trial over the 779m
  4. First 779m trial was half a second off the record. Then ran 650m 4 days later and won, then another 779 trial 3 days later.

Consistency an issue I believe. Yes there is discretion but surely they go from the same rule book.
  6. HoundFan, I agree. Hand started on Silver Collar Night. Records don't stand.
  7. Apologies Reilly, I remember being disappointed that night with the two greyhounds running track record times, but being hand started, they weren't going to count. Must have been electronically started, so well done to them both. As for Brando though, still a damn good effort to run sub 35secs over the 603m journey
  8. That was on Silver Collar night wasn't it Reilly? Because I'm sure Thrilling Brat ran the record as well (779m), but being hand started didn't count as being "official"
  9. Reilly, who ran that time to set the track record? A couple of times dogs have run track records, but were hand started so cant count. Yesterday it wasn't hand started so that's the new record
  10. Cec Divine in that race was my get out of jail dog since race 1 in case I had a shocker. Of course I had a real shocker and after seeing the money going on Opawa Colin I chickened out and left my last $20 in my account. I didn't watch the race, but saw the results and started kicking myself. Well done Yankiwi, as always

All the best for your retirement. You have been a champion all your career, and I look forward to your puppies (if you have some), when they hit the track. Well Done to Rosemary and connections, for keeping her at the top of her game for so long.
  12. Ashoka We are not trying to hide anything, but when we, the participants are quoted and can't explain what actually happened. Then how can we be advantaged. Yes, the association may need to sort their stuff out in regards to communication. But how can we fight what is said on the websites when its our owns words??
  13. I do know how hard it is to get through the association walls and actually have a fair chance at getting your view across. But I am getting tired of all of his page being "quotes" taken out of context. I understand you're frustration but ask to refrain from expressing it on here. DC9, I saw that on his page. What a poor excuse for a human being. A man had a gun pointed at him and its a dig towards the "gambling' industry. What a jerk.
  14. Mouse, What you continue to say gets posted to the GPLNZ page, and everything is taken out of context. So if this is continuing to happen, why in the heck do you keep commenting on this. By putting it on a public forum, why would things get changed or rectified. You need to be persistent with communication to the association. Posting on here is useless and a waste of time. Why are people worried about GPLNZ bringing the sport down when its the industries own participants that are giving them the ammunition.
  15. Or maybe 8 x - Not 100% sure how it multiplys
  16. I cant take big place 6's anchoring, just playing the pool. I did take one today - $5 % for 13 % (Only a small punter) Leg 1: Cosmic Fury Leg 2: Rene Ranger + Bigtime Dasher Leg 3: Uno Allegro + Popsome Tags + Thrilling Edge Leg 4: Bee Rabbit + Winning Knocka + Bevs Viewpoint Leg 5: Wallace Lad (Also my Quaddie Anchor) Leg 6: Thrilling Sonic + Tinas Dilema Would have got 6 x my 13% - For only $5 I thought even if Wallace Lad come in it would have paid $40.
  17. Has anyone has success with this? I know it saved me in the Railway and Auckland Cup with a multi. Got my money back with Code Nine running 3rd.
  18. Australian dogs on a Monday and Wednesday night are my best. Taking Roving Banker Trifectas. Taking one dog for first and second, with the field for third. $5 returns 26% usually The dog I anchor for 2nd is usually the favourite, or the one I think has the best chance of winning, as on 2 of the 3 tickets it needs to win
  19. Dusty, From a punters perspective that's a good thing. From a handlers, not so much But at Manawatu you need a minimum of 20 minutes between races to get all the dogs out in time, if you have a dogs in consecutive races. By the time you get off the dais, its time to run back to get the next one, plus you have to hose down, and put away your dog from the previous race. And lord help you if you have strapping to do + wanting a stir up.
  20. Selection criteria is club decision.. People always come on here to complain about criteria. How about you create a new structure and send it in to the clubs. Once they reply, then come on here and complain. Maybe run to be on these committees if you feel so strongly about the rules and regulations regarding selection criteria. On a side note... What a win. Jaw dropping to watch .. Couldn't believe how much the quinella paid. Interesting fact.. His first win was a sprint..
  21. The selection criteria is known to trainers before time of nominations so they face this risk. Is love to see him get a start. Always thought he would be a great contender over this longer journey. Maybe a letter from the owners will see the club review their criteria before the next distance races?
  22. Hard to say the reasoning behind the quick change of rules but I saw it on the website Wednesday night I think.
  23. Was on the grnz website before the race I believe.. Regarding the Change of rules
  24. Thrilling edge running 20.84i think it was at Cambridge was phenomenal. That's flying. I think soon though with a bit more maturity and racing knowledge, really clever will be running top times thought the country.
